I had a delightful stay at Laon Inn Gion Nawate right in the heart of Kyoto’s beautiful Gion district — one of the best locations to really soak up the culture and charm of the city. The inn is just a short walk from Gion‑Shijo Station, putting you steps away from traditional streets, cafes, and eateries, and within easy reach of iconic spots like Yasaka Shrine and the historic Higashiyama area.� LIVE JAPAN The room was simple, clean, and comfortable with all the essentials for a pleasant stay, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I especially appreciated being able to explore so much on foot — from atmospheric alleyways to the stunning temples and shops nearby — making every evening stroll feel like part of the adventure. I’d highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Kyoto who wants a great base for sightseeing and experiencing the timeless beauty of Gion!
