Ibaraki Kasugaoka Church (Church of the Light) tours

Tour Guide: Xiao Song is a very thoughtful tour guide and driver. He notified us of the meeting place in advance the day before, and during the trip, he would also send the meeting time and location, making it very easy to find. He would also wait for everyone near the drop-off and pick-up points, and his memory is truly excellent! Itinerary: The three attractions (Katsuo-ji Temple, Minoo Park + Minoo Waterfall, and Expo '70 Commemorative Park) were all very good. However, you walk a lot all day, so it is recommended to wear comfortable walking shoes and bring water. Group Size: Today, the van was fully booked with 12 people. Attractions Along the Way: Among them, I liked the cuteness of Katsuo-ji Temple and the natural scenery of Mt. Minoo the most. The Expo Commemorative Park grounds are too large; if you cannot walk anymore, you can go straight to the Japanese Garden to drink tea, eat sweets, and rest! Breaks: The time allocated for each location was more than sufficient. We even left early, departing at 8:00 AM and returning to the meeting point by 4:30 PM.

🍎٩(ˊᗜˋ)و Our perfect Apple Guide 🎀🩷 We were worried at first since it was a tour conducted in English and Chinese, making us the only Korean couple in the group, but now that the tour is over, we are so glad we booked it! 🥹 Apple sent us photos via KakaoTalk so we could easily find the bus boarding location, and before arriving at each destination, she provided thorough explanations ranging from history and culture to souvenirs, meal recommendations, meeting places, and times. This made our trip so comfortable and enjoyable. We were truly touched by her thoughtful consideration in providing explanations in Korean throughout the tour. ❤️ We also want to send our sincere gratitude to the driver for providing a safe and comfortable ride! Thanks to his gentle driving skills and kindness, even the travel time was comfortable and happy. It was a day that made us realize that who you travel with is just as important as where you go. Thanks to the kindness and consideration of you both, my husband and I have created precious memories that will stay with us for a long time. 🥰 Apple Guide and our driver, thank you so much! 💕 I would confidently recommend this tour to any Korean travelers who might be hesitant because of the language barrier. If we get the chance next time, we would love to see you again! ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜 My husband and I were worried as the only Korean guests on an English and Chinese tour, but Apple was an amazing guide! She shared helpful photos, local history, food and souvenir recommendations, and even explained things in Korean. Our driver was also very kind and drove safely. Thanks to both of them, we had a comfortable and wonderful trip! Highly recommend this tour! ❤️

The tour was well worth the money, and our guide, Gary, was very professional. When I visited Osaka last winter, I booked a one-day tour through Klook, and the guide contacted me via WhatsApp beforehand. This time, no one contacted me in advance, which made me quite anxious. However, everything started very smoothly once we arrived at the designated time and meeting point. My husband, children, and I had a wonderful trip, enjoyed a delicious lunch, and had a great time tasting green tea. I highly recommend booking this tour if it's your first time visiting the places on the itinerary, as it takes care of your meals and transportation.

We had such a great day on this tour with Apple. Apple was great at giving information about each place before we arrived. We were provided with must see and visit recommendations to help us whilst exploring Arashiama on our own. All of the stops are beautiful. The tour itself was very efficient with just enough time in each place to see all the highlights. Would definitely recommend!

The tour guide shared very detailed information about the attractions and important notes. I'm so glad I purchased this one-day tour; I had a wonderful day. The travel time between points was also perfectly managed. I'm also grateful for the sightseeing tips shared by our guide, Mr. Takahashi, at the end; they were very helpful.

We had the pleasure of having Niko as our tour guide, and if I could sum everything up into a few words about our guide it would have to be that we are so glad to have met such a wonderful human being to have as our guide for this trip through Minoh falls! She started us off at the beginning of the temple and showed us the different shrines and winning Darumas. She also taught us the meaning behind Daruma and the significance of what the temple was built for, it gave me and my wife a perfect outlook on what it really meant to be there. I dont think we would have gotten the same experience had we done this on our own. We walked over to the falls itself and then off to see the goddess of weath, music, and art and got to finish of with a excellent lunch with a friendship that im glad we made with Niko. My review is whole hearted, the only reason im giving 4 stars is because we weren't able to go inside and see the insect house which would have been fun too, otherwise it was a perfect day!

We had a wonderful time seeing the Katsuoji Temple, Uji, and Fushimi Inari. Our guide, Zoey, was very nice and cheerful; describing the history and importance of the places we went to. She also provided recommendations on places to eat in Uji, and helped us with any questions we have. I highly recommend this tour and Zoey as our tour guide! The day spent was unforgettable and worthwhile.

Small groups are really much more comfortable without having to wait around for each other. Katsio-ji Temple was a little smaller than expected, but very peaceful, which is perfect for a leisurely stroll. The scenery along the scenic train ride was nice, though the ride itself wasn't very long. Arashiyama was very crowded, but we could just manage our own free time. The driver was quite nice and even helped give directions on the way back. Overall, there were no unpleasant surprises, and the price is quite reasonable.

wonderful day trip, if you have walked too much but still have so much to see book this. we were able to see 3 very different locations, some which would be difficult to access on our own and all at a very easy pace. The guide was lovely, welcoming and shared perfect historical knowledge throughout.
