Chongqing Hongyadong (Northwest Gate) tours

We had an incredible day exploring the best of Chongqing! The itinerary was well-organized and packed with iconic landmarks, covering both historical culture and spectacular city scenery. Iconic Views: Gliding across the Yangtze River Cableway offered sweeping river views, while the WFC (World Financial Center) presented a stunning panoramic city skyline. Rich History & Culture: Walking down Shibati and the Mountain City Alley (Shancheng Budao) gave us a genuine feel for old Chongqing’s authentic slope architecture and local lifestyle. Visiting Baigongguan added a meaningful historical dimension to the trip. Vibrant Street Life: Exploring Ciqikou Ancient Town was fantastic for local snacks and crafts, and ending the day at the glowing Hongyadong felt straight out of a fairytale! Everything ran smoothly, seamlessly connecting all these major highlights without the headache of navigating public transport. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Chongqing for the first time!

We traveled during Golden Week, so we expected lots of crowds and heavy traffic everywhere—and it certainly was! 😄 Despite the busy holiday season, we still managed to have a wonderful and memorable time with Eunice. She was so accommodating, patient, and always willing to adjust to our requests. Her warm and helpful attitude made our trip much more enjoyable and stress-free. We truly appreciated all her assistance and effort in making sure we had a great time. The train passing straight through the building at Liziba Station was absolutely amazing. It felt so unreal, and I recorded so many videos! At night, Hongyadong was glowing with all its golden lights. It looked like a beautiful palace. There were a lot of people, but the view was still incredible and totally worth seeing. It was extremely hot today, and I was sweating a lot. Luckily, the air conditioning in the indoor places and the car was strong enough to keep us comfortable — it really saved me! By the way, the fresh fruit I bought from the roadside was surprisingly delicious. It was a small but wonderful part of the trip!

There wasn't much to see in Chongqing in the morning, so it felt a bit like a waste of time. As for the hotels, the one in Chengdu was relatively old; having more hotel options, even if it meant paying an extra fee, would have been nice. The transportation and pick-up arrangements were very good, and Mr. Luo, our driver in Chengdu, was exceptionally enthusiastic and attentive. Overall, it was a very happy trip.

We had enjoyed this tour. Had a great time with the guide. Lilas was energetic and knows all the places and what the locals do. very insightful. Driver was also very prompt. highly recommended!
