Things to do in Hiroshima Prefectural Art Museum

We visited during the Obon holiday, and there were so many tourists that the exhibition hall was packed, making it impossible to see the exhibits. It was a real shame! However, inside the exhibition, you could truly feel the horror of nuclear energy in warfare. I hope for world peace and an end to all wars.

1. The location is very convenient, situated in a small area right next to the entrance of Hiroshima Castle, a must-visit spot, making it easy to find. 2. The staff provides very detailed instructions and explanations on archery steps in English, ensuring even those who aren't athletic can enjoy themselves. 3. Visitors are given traditional Kyudo (Japanese archery) attire to wear, and the staff will even use their phones to capture this precious experience (videos/photos) for you. 4. Finally, you receive a commemorative sticker, creating an unforgettable memory. 5. The follow-up email after the experience is also very prompt and thoughtful. In summary, apart from the cost being a bit high and requiring a reservation, there are no downsides. I highly recommend experiencing this before or after visiting Hiroshima Castle.

Thomas was a wonderful tour guide. He was very informative and easy to talk to. I would have liked to hear more information about the military base in Hiroshima, but I understand there was a lot to cover! This should be a tour that every visitor to Japan sees. It was heartwrenchingly sad. The comprehensive information and graphic details was confronting. The presentation was exceptional, it was well laid out and easily followed through the passage of the event. As sad as it was I would highly recommend it.

Rino is a cheerful guide who keeps close tab on time, ensuring punctuality. she also helps guests to take good photos and is always smiling. The okinominya provided for lunch at Miyakayi isn’t very nice to eat. But the oysters two shops away recommended by Rino were delicious. Maybe more choices of lunch can be given.

glad I had joined this one day tour… both guide n his assistant were very nice, professional, had giving us lots of background of each spot. and also they were helpful for helping some of the tour member to change their train ticket. good jobs 👍👍👍

The tour was a good value for money! the local guide’s insights made the tour more enriching. There was a good balance of guided moments and free time to go around by yourself. Very convenient for those wanting to see the highlights of Hiroshima in one day.

Delicious food, seasonal and local (seafood, meat, vegetables and herbs), prepared by the very talented chef. Both, chef and waitress, were extremely attentive and friendly. The place itself was modern yet cosy. Highly recommended to try!
