If you're traveling with family, then one of the best places to add to your Taiwan itinerary is Leofoo Village Theme Park. The park has 4 different areas with over 30 rides. Arabian Kingdom is a magical themed area with dark adventure rides, like the Flying Horse and the Sultan’s Adventure—which is similar to the Indiana Jones Adventure ride at Disneyland. African Safari features interactive attractions with animals and exciting rides, like the Sahara Twist coaster, as well as horse-back riding. At South Pacific’s tropical-themed area, you’ll find the park’s most thrilling rides, like the Pagoda’s Revenge, which takes riders up into the air for a quick and exciting drop. Lastly, the Wild West is the most popular area thanks to its ride, the Screaming Condor, which is an inverted shuttle coaster.

This stunning sea has been named after its water that includes an interesting mix of yellow and blue—a visual that looks similar to the black and white combination of the yin and yang symbol. The Yin Yang Sea’s water has been found to be the effect of floating iron ions of pyrite in the area.

Also known as the Thirteen-Story Ruins, the Remains of the 13 Levels was the location of the Shuinandong Smelter, which was once the largest beneficiation and refinery plant around Shuinan Cave, Jinguashi, and Jiufen. Shifen Old Street, located in the Pingxi area, is a charming little town built around the Shifen railway station area. Visitors come to paint their wishes on lanterns and release them in the area, though the sky lanterns were originally used as a signaling system for railroad workers.
Jiufen Old Street is famous for sharing a resemblance to the village in Hayao Miyazaki’s animated film, Spirited Away, but the town’s picturesque scenery and quaint shops are also worth a visit. Explore the small food stalls, tea houses, souvenir shops, and pottery stores as you stroll along the bustling streets.
Klook Tip: Check out A-Mei Teahouse for a great viewing point of Keelung Mountain.

    Golden Waterfall

You must add a trip to Golden Waterfall on your list of what to do in Taiwan. The falls have been named after the golden color of the water, which has taken color after mining activities and the abundance of heavy metal elements in the riverbed. It’s such a picture-perfect spot that even couples love to use the location for wedding photos.
