What to expect
You can experience gentle rafting all year round on the clear waters of the Chitose River. The Chitose River, which has its source in crystal clear lake water, has a relatively gentle current, making it an enjoyable experience for everyone, from small children to the elderly. Surrounded by lush greenery, you can see wild birds such as kingfishers and crested kingfishers in the summer, as well as a variety of fish swimming leisurely downstream. In winter, you can see many wild birds and animals in the snow, making for an amazing experience to share. A free shuttle is available from JR Chitose Station, making it a great experience to experience during or on the way back from your trip to Hokkaido.

one of the highlights of my trip to Hokkaido. nature tour as its best. the 2 staff were awesome. from eagles flying over our heads to Salmons swimming and floating underneath. it is a 10/10 for our family.
The river water is clear and you can see the bottom. The guide is friendly and humorous. It's a good experience. Unfortunately, the weather is a bit hot. There is no snow on the trees, but it won't be too cold.
Guide was Kiysoe. A tough ride for him as the raft was unusually full that day. He jumped into the water a couple of times so that we avoided the low hanging tree branches. Saw deer, ducks, eagles and dead salmon bodies along the stream.
The weather was very good that day, but it was still very cold on the water. At first, I went to the wrong gathering place and couldn't find it. I was in a panic and didn't know how to contact the receptionist. Fortunately, the person who arrived at the location was still there, so I successfully completed the trip.
A very special experience. The water of the Chitose River is calm and clear, and salmon carcasses can be seen underneath.
