What to expect
Creating batik is a beautiful and intricate process blending creativity and tradition. Begin by sketching a unique design on fabric with a pencil. Heat liquid wax on a stove and use a canting tool to trace the pattern, following your sketch. The wax serves as a barrier to prevent dye absorption. Choose vibrant dyes and use a brush to paint the fabric, ensuring every detail is covered. Allow the fabric to dry completely. Once dry, remove the wax by boiling the fabric in water and gently stirring. The wax will melt and separate from the cloth. Submerge the fabric in clean water and rub it by hand to remove any remaining residue. Finally, let the fabric dry, revealing your finished masterpiece. The entire process, combining precision and artistry, typically takes 3-5 hours to complete.

Amazing experience and I would love to come back. They teach you about the history of batik, answer all questions, and walk you through and help with every step of the process. It can take time depending on your speed so plan accordingly. Overall, would definitely recommend.
it is a really cool workshop even if you are not artistic. I never draw or paint something but with the friendly people there you can make really beautiful paintings. It’s a really cool souvenir to bring especially because you made it yourself. The people there are also really friendly it feels like you are a guests in someone household. I would highly recommend to do this workshop.
Wonderful experience! You will finally understand how difficult it is to make good Batik and why it costs money. A half day well spent; lovely and very helpful staff, clear guidance and at thecend if the day you go home with your own Batik!
Very Nice experience, welcoming staff explaining you and remaining at your disposition if you need help. They provide fresh water and other drinks and some snacks. They result is very nice and I really enjoyed !
Had an amazing time doing this! It was a very relaxed atmosphere and all the people running it were super friendly and helpful. A great experience and great value for money!
After participating, I learned that the technical steps of traditional batik painting are complicated and detailed. Fortunately, there is a whole team to help with each step, which allows me to maintain my own creation and successfully complete each batik work to take home. It is very fulfilling. Activity!
