Mount Batur Alengkong Sunrise Trekking with Optional Photographer

Honestly this was one of the most tiring experiences of my life, as we came unprepared and already tired from our previous days of activities. Yet with our wonderful 21 year old guide Tut and his younger brother guiding us enthusiastically, even singing songs on the way up to motivate us, we pushed on to the summit without fail. Then at last, one of the most beautiful sights to behold, the sunrise after an exhausting climb, set against the beautiful scenery of Mt Agung. Truly such a glorious morning, even accompanied with assorted breakfast options and delicious hot drinks prepared by our guide. The trip down was no less exciting, as we opted to take motorbikes down the undulating terrain of the mountainside. Thoroughly enjoyed myself and you surely will too. A million thanks to our 50 star guide Tut! Thank you bro. tl;dr - An experience like no other, 10/10

I did the Mount Batur sunrise trek today and had an incredible experience from start to finish. Our driver, Leo, was punctual and very professional. He made the early morning pickup smooth and comfortable. On the way, he shared so much about Balinese culture, traditions, and local life—it really added a special touch to the journey and helped me appreciate the experience even more. Our trekking guide, Betut, was absolutely amazing! Super fun, energetic, and so friendly—he kept the whole group in high spirits the entire time. He was also incredibly attentive, especially during the descent when the terrain got very slippery. He made sure we were safe, guiding us carefully and helping at every tricky spot. The views from the top were breathtaking, and the whole experience was made even better thanks to this wonderful team. Highly recommend this trek—and if you can, ask for Leo and Betut!

We had such a wonderful experience joining the Mount Batur Hiking Tour! Everything was smooth from start to finish, and we really want to thank both Leo (our driver) and Katut (our mountain guide) for making the trip extra special. Leo was super friendly and knowledgeable — he didn’t just handle the pick-up and drop-off perfectly, but also went out of his way to show us extra attractions like a coffee farm and a lovely local Bali restaurant. He shared lots of interesting facts about Bali (did you know all the produce and veggies grown here are fully organic?) — it made the ride feel more like a mini cultural tour! Our guide Katut was equally amazing. During the hike, he told us stories about the mountain, made sure everyone was doing okay, and even took some really great photos for us at the top. The view from Mt. Batur was absolutely breathtaking. We were so lucky because the weather was perfect. Highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Bali! 😊

Our guide Katut made the whole morning super fun — full of energy, stories, and laughs that kept us going even through the clouds. He made sure everyone was comfortable and enjoying themselves. A big shoutout also to our driver Leo, who was incredibly helpful and patient throughout the trip — from the early morning pickup to making sure we were well taken care of afterward. Would definitely recommend this experience — and if you can, ask for Katut and Leo — they’ll make your trek one to remember!

Driver Leo was very punctual, and our hiking guide David was professional and friendly. From the base of the mountain to the summit, David chose an easier route for the climb up and a different route for the descent, so we got to experience both trails. Our English isn’t very good, but he was patient and easy to communicate with throughout the hike. Unfortunately, the sunrise was hidden behind thick clouds, but once the clouds cleared, the views from the summit were absolutely stunning and well worth the visit. Both the driver and guide were excellent. It was a perfect day and a wonderful experience. 🙌

Our driver picked us up right outside our hotel and safely transported us to the hiking start point. Our guide was very patient as we were pulling along two children who weren't feeling the best, but with Katut's support we made it to the top before sunrise. breakfast was adequate and hot coffee well appreciated 👍

Driver Ronny picked us up from the villa at 2:00 AM on time and headed to Batur Volcano, and arrived at the trailhead at about 3:00 AM. The mountaineering guide Sugiartha is a 21-year-old young man. He is very polite and easy to get along with. He is very familiar with the mountaineering routes and has excellent photography skills. He climbed to the top at about 5:20 AM and waited for the sunrise. The sunrise was very beautiful at 6:10 AM. The scenery was very beautiful at about 7:00 AM. Return down the mountain, meet the driver Ronny at 9:00 AM, then go to the volcanic hot springs, and the whole trip ends at 10:00 AM. The whole trip was a great experience and highly recommended.

Highly recommended! ! The chartered car driver and guide are very attentive. The driver's service is very good and he is very punctual in picking up and dropping off. Bottled water will be prepared during the journey❤️After arriving in the early morning, the guide will lead you into the mountain. He will also ask from time to time if he needs to rest. In the end, he will see the sun smoothly. Yes, I am very lucky! After climbing the mountain, the guide's photography skills were perfect, and he was also very humorous, which reduced the fatigue during the mountain climbing process. I was really happy to have this experience! The pick-up and drop-off locations can be different, which is very convenient and just right for moving from point to point! Highly recommended❤️

Experience was splendid with them. Driver Jhon Will arrived on time for our pick up time & was patient with us when we took 2.5hrs at the hot spring. We got Guide Ari for our trekking activity. He followed our pace and ensured we are okay at all times. He prepared our breakfast with our favourite chocolate : Beng-beng! Ari also helped us took wonderful photos and videos. Most importantly, he ensured we start and end the hike safely till we get back down safely. Both Jhon Will & Ari deserves a raise! 🤙🏻

Guys, if you go hiking occasionally, do this instead of a jeep tour!! The tour was really good!! My husband who went with me said it was really good and that I made a really good choice of tour~ The taxi driver Jodi arrived before the appointment time and contacted me through WhatsApp~ I asked him about Bali on the way there and he answered kindly and funnily! He told me to get some sleep if I was tired, so we talked comfortably during the taxi ride and rested comfortably~ The trekking guide for Mt. Batur was Ketut, and he took good care of me while we were going up~ He asked if I was okay, told me what percentage of the total I had climbed, and even sang a song while we were going up ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ I was so tired that I couldn't even speakㅠㅠ Thanks to him, I was able to go up in a very enjoyable mood even though it was a difficult hike. The photos and videos Ketut took at the top were also really pretty~ He explained the amazing and pretty sights at the top well and took good photos and videos, and the quality was really good. He also took a few videos on his phone and edited them in Reels and sent them to me~ It was a memorable memory!
