You need to redeem tickets before proceeding to the main line on the lower level, make sure to do this or else you have to go back again! View was spectacular! Line was a bit long but moving fast.
Although at the beginning I didn’t know how to use the voucher as the tower is huge, when I finally made it to the top and skywalked, it was all worthy, they give you a box with a certificate, a medal, a free printed photo and, apart from that, you can buy more photos. I chose the night session and, thanksfully, the sky was clear to see all the city lights and skyscrapers.
We went up before evening to see the daytime scenery, experienced the Skywalk, and took pictures of the night view before coming down. There's no time limit, so enjoy it at your leisure.
Great, the experience is very nice, if it is a little scary knowing that you are so high up and the boy who explains everything to you teaches you how to do poses so that the photos look great, at the top I think you are about 15 minutes long but the view is spectacular.
The Shanghai Jin Mao Tower is an absolute must-visit! The views from the top are absolutely breathtaking, showcasing the beauty and grandeur of Shanghai's skyline. The architectural brilliance of the tower is truly remarkable, and it stands as a testament to modern design and engineering. A visit to the Jin Mao Tower is an unforgettable experience that will leave you in awe. Highly recommended!
Redeeming the tickets was a straightforward process, which made the experience quite convenient. The view from the top was breathtaking, offering a panoramic vista of the surrounding landscape, and distant building visible. However, there isn't much else to do at the top besides soaking in the scenery, capturing videos, and taking photos. The maximum stay typically lasts around 15 minutes since the area is quite small and doesn't offer many activities. I also want to highlight that customer support was exceptional when I needed urgent assistance with redeeming the tickets, providing prompt and helpful service.
You can't help but be captivated by the grandeur and scenery of the observatory! Before entering the queue on the first basement level, be sure to exchange your voucher for a ticket at the desk to the left of the escalator on the first floor before going down. It was a bit disappointing that the observatory was indoors and you could only view it through glass windows.
There was some confusion with the staff when exchanging tickets, but it was all forgiven the moment I went up Jin Mao Tower. It's centrally located among the three major towers, so I had a great view.

Guide

  • At an altitude of 340 meters, you can have a panoramic bird's-eye view of the scenery on both sides of the Huangpu River.
  • Check in to enjoy the charming sunset and afterglow, and admire the landscape of the Bund on the opposite bank.

Take your Shanghai experience to different heights (literally) by climbing up to the 88th floor of the popular Jin Mao Tower. Standing at 420.5 meters tall, Jin Mao Tower is one of the tallest skyscrapers in Shanghai. It's viewing deck, at 340.1 meters covers an area of 1520 square meters - perfect to get a panoramic view of the city. From the viewing deck, you can see across the river to the beautiful Bund Scenic Area, and get a glimpse of some of Shanghai's most famous landmarks from a completely different perspective. The tower is also home to Grand Hyatt Hotel, a 60 meter long glass skywalk (without rails!) and two of the fastest elevators available that can take you from the earth floor to the 88th in 45 seconds! All in all, a great way to up your experience of the beautiful city of Shanghai.
