Allow yourself plenty of time here. We spent about 5hrs all up looking through the many sections of the museum, including the special exhibitions as well as the Archaeology gallery (my personal favourite). Plenty of food areas and handy bag lockers (refundable 100yen to use) all round the place too. Photographs allowed in most places however signed items occasionally not for photos. Signs written in English, Japanese and Chinese made it easy to understand the items significance as well. A great place to visit and tickets are pretty cheap as well
Extremely interesting, a cheap activity that would fill a whole day. So much to see and experience, the Japanese history and culture is truly iconic.
The exhibition is very nice, recommend to start from the second floor and you can have an overall view by taking a walk inside the museum. I had a good time in here. It took me 3 hours to see all the exhibition.
a go to place if you love to learn more about Japan's rich culture and history. very covenient shen you book thru klook
A must visit. Imagine looking at a morethan a thousand yers old relic. One of my favorite activity in tokyo and it's conveniently located in euno park
Get to know more of Japanese culture through history museums such as this. Best time to be here is probably in the morning when they've just opened. Don't go on Mondays because they're closed. You will do a lot of walking around, so wear comfortable walking shoes. Pros: Quick scan of the e-ticket, and then you're good to go and no need to queue up. Cons: Most of the descriptions beside the exhibits are in Japanese and no English counterparts. Bring a translating app, or maybe rent an audio guide at the lobby if there is (Unfortunately I didn't).
Very nice experience to visit the museum. Worth the money and the museum is so beautiful. Overall a pleasant visit.
Great experience, audio guide app was very useful. Thoughtful service for providing lockers for free. Great opportunity to learn about Japanese history.
Decided to go on a Sunday. Went there the mOn hall 1st floor is closed for special screening. End up managed to see the special screening. one of the building is closed. Would suggest the Edo Museum instead
Just show your QR code and you can enjoy the TNM for a few hours! The museum is huge!
