What to expect
In a wooden building over 100 years old, we offer a workshop where you can easily create your one-and-only chopsticks. Choose your preferred wood, shave it with a plane, smooth it with sandpaper, finish with oil, and complete the process by wrapping your chopsticks. While enjoying the scent and warmth of the wood, you can truly appreciate the charm of chopsticks, an everyday item in Japanese culture.
This experience is suitable for both children and adults, combining the ease of hands-on activity with the joy of taking home a tangible memory. It’s a perfect way to enhance sightseeing or a stroll through Kyoto. Reservations are available, but walk-ins are also welcome. We look forward to welcoming you in a convenient and open space.

incredibly friendly staff! The process is fun and customizable. Love the purple wood option and the unique shape I was able to make per my preference. took about 45-60 minutes - highly recommend this location and they are opening more around the area!
Great experience for couples groups families and just the right souvenir to take home and have a little bit of kyoto to remember.
Super creative experience! Staff was super friendly and helpful. The location and the size of the group made it very personal. The end result is a memory that I will never forget. Location was great and easy to find. The only drawback is when you start making add-ons it gets really expensive (like stamping or different wood).
A very nice experience, the staff were extremely friendly and the craftsmanship will ensure that it remains a lasting memory.
incredible experience! It might be tricky to get to location so plan ahead with lots of time for different kinds of train travel. Very memorable time! Would do it again!
