Review for: Cooking Class (Single)

The pickup service, market tour, and cooking class were all enjoyable and meaningful. The instructor's explanations were detailed and engaging, and the other staff members were very kind and provided excellent service. The cooking itself wasn't difficult, and all the staff put in a lot of effort to ensure everything ran smoothly. The only minor issue was with the drop-off service at the end; instead of taking us all the way to the hotel, they dropped us off midway, which made getting back a bit challenging. Since we were dropped off on the main road with other participants, we each had to find our way back to our accommodations. We were all asking each other, "Where are we?" It wasn't a place where we'd get completely lost, but the lack of clear instructions left us a bit flustered. Overall, it was a very enjoyable experience!

This tour package offers the best value for money in Bali. My friend and I went for around 27,000 won, and it included 8 dishes + 1 dessert, plus a local market tour exclusively for the morning session. I highly recommend the local market tour! They let us sample various local fruits and desserts, and also explained a lot about Balinese culture. The cooking class was also taught very kindly, step-by-step, so even if you don't speak English, you can still enjoy the experience. Both the teacher and staff were incredibly friendly. Honestly, I'd recommend this cooking class over a Mount Batur tour.

The experience was fun. Able to learn and expose to the local food. Able to see, smell and taste it is fun way of discovering the culture. The staff are so helpful and accommodating. Location is far from the city, so be on time on the pickup point and avail of free service. Even solo traveling, it's not a problem.

What an amazing class! the chef was very friendly and accommodating. He brought us to the local market and shared details of the offerings that was made everyday. My wife and I learnt the different Balinese recipes and cooking techniques. The chef had a great sense of humour and we loved the whole new experience of cooking and getting to know their culture alittle bit more. It was a blessing that we were the only ones for the class as most of the participants had signed up for the afternoon session. However, we could not finish what we cooked and he even helped us to pack it in a box. Overall, we had an extraordinary experience with this cooking class. Highly Recommended! No Regrets!

Review for: Cooking Class (Bali Pass)

Absolutely fantastic! If you're coming to Bali, you definitely have to schedule this. If you participate in the morning class, you'll first go to a local market to browse and learn about some of the unique local fruits, vegetables, or foods. You can buy things you like or not (no pressure!). Then you'll take a walk through the rice fields ~ (brief stop). Afterward, you'll return to the class location (inside a local house). Throughout the process, they introduce the ingredients and teach everyone how to cook. I think the process is designed very well, with almost no dull moments or times when you feel like you're wasting time waiting around. It's a series of surprises, one after another, but whether you like them or not is a matter of personal taste. Just based on the experience of this class, it's great! Highly recommended! It's my favorite part of this trip to Bali!

The teaching was great, they shared a pdf with the recipes with us so we can do them at home. But above all, the visit to the market was fantastic, I truly enjoyed it. It's not for soft people as you can encounter some pests though

An unforgettable experience in Bali! We were a group of 8 people and had an exceptional time. Putu, our chef, is amazing: warm, funny, and passionate about Balinese cuisine. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly, and we learned to prepare delicious dishes that we then enjoyed together. An activity we 100% recommend!

The course content is rich and interesting overall, and since there are many kitchen helpers on hand to assist, it is generally quite easy for students to get started. There are eight students in total in four groups at the same time in our class, so the main teacher can take care of the situation of each group. In a blink of an eye, one would have the illusion that seven or eight professional Balinese local dishes could be easily prepared! In addition, vegetarians like me don’t have to worry at all, I can still make a hearty and delicious lunch! What is a pity is that the itinerary planned that before arriving at the cooking class, someone would lead us to visit the local traditional market, but it seemed like a quick glance, and most of the items introduced during the market visit were fruits, which had nothing to do with the ingredients used in the cooking later.

The whole experience was something I’m really glad I did. I had the chance to meet people from New Zealand, Singapore, and South Korea. We visited a local market and were introduced to a variety of local produce. We also stopped by a local farm—not new to me, since I was born and raised in that kind of setup. The highlight? Learning how to make sambal and exploring different kinds of Balinese cuisine—oh my!! I enjoyed and devoured it all. The spicier, the better… lol! Yogi taught us how to cook Balinese dishes, and his cousin Tata picked us up and dropped us off. It was such a great day
