Kyushu Itoshima Popular Route: Itoshima Meoto Iwa & Angel's Wings & Ichiran Ramen & Shiraito Falls & Dazaifu & Yanagawa River Cruise Day Trip
- Wander through Yanagawa's water town and enjoy the pleasant time of Japanese boatmen paddling and singing.
- A full-day tour of popular seaside attractions like Itoshima's Meoto Iwa (Husband and Wife Rocks) and the Coconut Tree Swing.
- Special arrangement to visit the original Ichiran Ramen store, where you can enjoy the popular Kyushu Tonkotsu Ramen.
- Depending on the season, choose to experience different routes: the autumn-limited maple viewing spot "Raizan Sennyoji Temple" or the summer cool retreat "Shiraito Falls."
- Visit Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine in the evening to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere after the crowds have dispersed.
- Optional Route B: Visit the popular Totoro Cafe in Itoshima.
What to expect
Departing from Fukuoka Hakata, immerse yourself in two distinct Japanese experiences: in the morning, explore the popular landmarks of Itoshima, stroll along the wind-swept Meoto Iwa (Wedded Rocks) and coconut tree swings, and savor authentic Ichiran Ramen (at your own expense); in the afternoon, move to Yanagawa, the "City of Water," and slowly cruise through its century-old streets; depending on the season, visit Shiraito Falls or the autumn foliage spot Raizan Sennyoji Temple; finally, arrive at Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine to soak in the cultural atmosphere and tranquil ambiance. This is a dual journey for both sight and soul, perfectly fitting into one day.

Great experience even if it was rainy day…Highlights of the tour was our tour guide kevin who was very helpful and friendly. Explained each destination. The yanagawa boat ride was also a good experience
I would like to commend our tour guide Ada for this tour. I enjoy the tour especially the boat ride! I’m so happy I chose this set of tour. Please book the tour with boat ride, it’s a unique experience and fun. Ada communicates well in English and easy to approach. Arigato, Ada. Thank you for this tour, Sayonara!
This tour is a great way to spend a day outside Fukuoka. The itinerary was nice it covered places in Itoshima and Yanagawa. Our guide Owen is nice. Despite being a Chinese group tour, explained to us everything in English very well. He's also very patient and he takes our photos very well too. If I could give 10 stars I would. Plus he's very good looking. Overall I really enjoyed this trip. Thank you!
Amazing is the word! I had a great experience in trip. All the locations were amazingly beautiful and our tour guide was so friendly and helpful. She tried her best to interact in English and was so supportive in every manner. All the places are must visit and overall it was a pleasure day following the perfect itinerary
Daisy did such a great job with organizing and coordinating our itinerary. We avoided the busy line up at Ichiran Headquarters. Everything was so smooth and timely. We enjoyed all the destinations and everything was beautiful. Definitely recommend this tour, specially Daisy. She is so friendly and easy going and the tour was very relaxed.
it’s a small group tour, itinerary is perfect with flexibility. tour guide Ms 姜is very helpful and nice, able to take care of us and helped us with taking nice pictures, especially during the boat cruising. although it was raining when boat cruising, we all enjoyed very much. it won’t be achievable with out a tour guide. highly recommended for all visitors.
It was a beautiful day with great stops. I wish we had more time at some of the sights, often we only had 20 minutes. The tour guide was super nice and took great care of all the guests!
This was my first visit to Fukuoka, and I joined a day tour to make the most of it—thanks to a summer sale on Klook. As a solo traveler, it was a convenient and cost-effective choice, with transportation fully arranged and the added bonus of group travel. Our group had about 18–20 people (mostly families and friends), and the tour lasted around 10.5 hours. Our guide, Wendy, was fantastic—fluent in English, Cantonese, Mandarin, and Japanese. She kept everything on schedule, shared great insights about Fukuoka, and even gave us a list of recommended restaurants. The itinerary was fully covered, and the group was punctual, which made the experience even better.
It's too hot in the summer, and outdoor activities for more than an hour are unbearable. We all wanted to go to Yanagawa, Dazaifu, and Itoshima, which are quite far by car, and this day trip was perfect for us. Our tour guide, Daisy Wu, has lived in Japan for 8 years. She is very thoughtful and notified us in advance the day before departure and answered our inquiries. She took great care of us at each attraction, avoided traffic jams, and made the whole trip very smooth. The driver drove the car steadily, making our ride comfortable and preventing car sickness. At the end of the tour, Daisy also sent photos and Fukuoka travel tips, such as good supermarkets for shopping, souvenirs with high value for money, hot springs near Hakata, etc. I feel like I should have booked this tour sooner and met Daisy earlier. It's a shame we didn't meet sooner because we were going home the next day. We'll just have to come back next time to enjoy it!
Covered Itoshima and Yanagawa which is hard to DIY in a day because of distance, plus Dazaifu and Sennyogi shrine. Timing was adjusted to avoid crowds at Ichiran.
