I used it to go from Hue to Hanoi. The bus stop in Hue was not where it was described, but on the road opposite. The bus departed on time, took a toilet break two hours after departure, then a dinner break one hour later, and then took a final toilet break about four hours later, and arrived in Hanoi about 20 minutes late. The sleeper bus was a two-row type with fewer seats, so I was able to sleep more comfortably than other three-row types. Also, the seats had a massage function. As a note, if you get motion sickness, it's better to book a lower bunk rather than an upper bunk. For about four hours after leaving Hue, the bus rocked quite a bit, like a ferry running on rough seas.

When we arrived, all we needed to do was wait for our boarding time. Although there was a slight language barrier, we made sure to exercise patience and understanding. Overall, I highly recommend booking your train ticket in advance.

I just came to the train station and showed the ticket for the staff and they let you in for your seat. Comfortable and spacious seats, there's a meal car with some music on the back. Views are great and worth some pictures. Worth the experience

the heritage train was a really unique way of travelling from Da Nang to Hue. The culture carriage was lovely and we even had some lovely Bánh nậm dumplings to enjoy the view with

Mr Luat was a great tour guide, extremely knowledgeable about the history of Vietnam & very funny too. The tour involves a lot of driving but if you prepare yourself for that & enjoy history, then you’ll have a great time. Our highlights were Khe Sanh & Vinh Moc Tunnels
