Hwaseong Palace tours

I think this is the best tour I have had so far in this trip. if you book, ask for Minnie. she’s really knowledgeable and informative, you’ll learn a lot about history of Suwon and South Korea. I definitely recommend Minnie! :)

This trip is one for the books! There are not much people in the places visited but the history and culture surorounding every single area was amazing! our guide Cory made sure to explain things to us and gave us freedom to manage our time with his guidance. lunch we had near the Hwaseong Palace was superb. Having a private tour is a plus because you get to budget your own time at your own convenience. Suwon was really beautiful!

Firstly we went to Hwaseong Fortress. it was designated as world heritage by UNESCO. the size was very long and the appearance was very beautiful and tremendous. we experienced the archery shooting and took fotos and videos. and then we went to Haenggung temporary palace and watched the martial arts demonstration. it was also nice. I learned there were various Korean traditional martial arts. Next place was Royal tombs, I felt the sincere love of king Jeongjo to his father. there were also nice pine tree roads and felt the freshness. Lastly we went to Suwon Starfield library. it was bigger than Coex and more beautiful. there held special jazz concert on that day. our guide, Mr, Lee was very kind and helpful, he seemed to be an expert of history. I spent very good day with MYK tour and fully recommend this tour.

Wonderful experience visiting the sights at Suwon and Gwangmeong. Guide was professional and insightful, providing good information and background of the spaces we visited. Itinerary was a little rush, especially at lunch at the Suwon Starfield.

This was a trip down memory lane since mostly are historica ml places with slight side trip on the mall at the beautiful starfield library in Suwon. Our tour guide Mr. Philip (can also be called Mr. Handsome 😂) was really well-versed and explained all the spots of the tour well. He was also very clear with how instructions all throughout starting from the day before the trip until it ended! Thank you Mr. Philip it was extra fun because you managed time well so enjoyed all the places!

Jay, our guide is good. He was able to explain the significance of the Suwon City during the Joseon Dynasty. We are only able to go to a portion of the Hwaseong Fortress as it was very cold the day we were there in Suwon. We also went to the palace where the king was staying in Suwon. Also went to the Starfield Library, it’s much beautiful than the obe in Gangnam. The 3 places would have been great for me. The Gwangmyeong Cave has nothing special. LED lights, a small museum, wine store and winery. That’s it. Overall, the cave tour will bot be missed.

We began our day surrounded by the serene beauty of Jangtaesan Forest, walking beneath towering metasequoia trees, breathing in the crisp, fresh air, and feeling completely at peace. From there, we traveled to the awe-inspiring UNESCO-listed Suwon Hwaseong Fortress, where history came alive through its majestic walls, ornate gates, and sweeping city views. Our guide, Yoon, was absolutely phenomenal; deeply knowledgeable, engaging, and personable, with an infectious passion for sharing Korea’s history and hidden gems. He also proved to be an outstanding photographer, capturing both candid and perfectly composed shots we will cherish forever. Yoon went above and beyond in every way, making sure we were comfortable, never rushed, and fully immersed in the experience. We walked away with not only incredible memories, but also the feeling that we’d spent the day with someone we’d gladly travel with again. This was an 11/10 experience, and Yoon is a guide we’ll never forget.

Very nice tour and good for elders. My grandmother enjoyed the tour. Jenny is very accomodating and is very helpful to us. She is very knowledgeable of the tour.
