Reviews
Brooke the tour guide is very nice and lovely. We went first to Mornington Bathing Boxes and stayed for 40 mins. Then she braught us to Murrays lookout for 15 mins. Lastly, we stayed almost 5hrs in Peninsula Hotspring.
Went pickup point and one guide drive us to join another tour bus, not direct pickup like other tour Agents which not very comfortable although the guides tried to cheer us up. But their company arrangement is no good. 1st stop went admire the colorful peninsula bathing boxes along the beach, then to Murray's Lookout Point. Continued long drive to the Peninsula Hot Springs. Many pools to enjoy. Take note that the Lockers are small. A$10 each.
Our tour guide, Mark, is very friendly, provides clear explanations, and is happy to solve problems for guests. He's willing to adjust the itinerary based on the actual weather conditions. Originally, he planned to visit the Brighton Bathing Boxes first, then Murray's Lookout, and finally stay at the hot springs. However, due to the strong winds, dense clouds, and potential rain today, plus some traffic heading towards the Mornington Peninsula, we went to the Brighton Bathing Boxes and then headed straight to the hot springs, saving Murray's Lookout for last (the weather was better in the afternoon with clearer visibility than in the morning). There was plenty of time at the hot springs to try out the different pools.
There aren't many people here on weekdays. The place is big with many pools. It's very different from the hot springs in Japan. This is completely outdoors, which is another experience. Ladies who are afraid of the sun must wear sunscreen on their faces. It was winter that day and the temperature was about 14-15 degrees. It was quite comfortable to soak in the water, but my body also got a little tanned.
Tour guide is super nice and the trip is small size group. You could enjoy the hot spring for a long period of time. But I would recommend the bathing house could spend a longer time( 30 mins in this trip) Not enough time to explore more. But I would recommend this is a nice trip for people who love hot spring! So relaxing!
This one-day tour is highly recommended; the tour guide was very friendly. The weather on August 16th was sunny with a temperature of around 13 degrees, and the hot springs were excellent. The crowd at the site was manageable. I suggest renting a bathrobe on-site, and remember to bring your own slippers (if you forget them, you can purchase them at the main entrance - please note that the tour group enters through the rear entrance). The tour fee includes admission and a towel rental. If you have time, make sure to visit the mountaintop of the hot springs for some beautiful photo opportunities! Don't forget to bring your credit card, and before departure, be sure to have a waterproof bag to protect your phone.
I have been to tour of seeing penguins, puffin billy, and ocean road. I would say this hot springs is better than puffin and ocean road. I come from Japan, and I have never seen such big, comfortable, cozy hot spring facilities even in Japan. I highly recommend this tour!
You can relax, slowly soak in different hot spring pools and enjoy the facilities in the park. There is a difference between coming in a hurry and leaving in a hurry. You can soak it under a tree or in the sun if you like. If you are hungry, you can go to the coffee shop to heal your stomach.
Hahah I actually enjoyed it. You can’t compare its authenticity with Japanese one but hey it’s rare to even be able to do outdoor hot springs in Australia. Best part was that the tour that day only has us. So it sort of become like a private tour with a friendly guide. Was glad that the company honoured the tour and did not cancel at last minute just because there was only 2 of us on the tour. Very good experience. I personally recommend it if you feel that you need to soak in hot spring to relax halfway during your trip in Australia.
The tour guide Ken was very good, very punctual, humorous and made the trip very enjoyable. The hot spring area is very large, but some facilities are old and the hot spring water is not very clean, but the scenery is very good!
