Reviews
I recently had the chance to enjoy the buffet at New World Hotel, and it turned out to be a very satisfying dining experience. The first impression was the elegant and spacious dining area. The atmosphere felt warm, refined, and comfortable, making it suitable for both family gatherings and business meals. In terms of food, the buffet offered a wide and well-balanced selection. The seafood station was one of the highlights, with fresh prawns, oysters, and various shellfish that tasted clean and naturally sweet. The hot dishes were also thoughtfully prepared, with both Asian and Western options available, so everyone at the table could easily find something they liked. I especially appreciated the live cooking stations, where dishes were prepared on the spot. It added a sense of freshness and made the meal feel more interactive. The dessert section was another strong point, featuring a variety of cakes, pastries, and traditional sweets that were not overly sweet but nicely balanced.
It's okay, but the lobster isn't very big.
The buffet spread was exquisite and tasted amazing. Crab and lobster were cook to order. Crab came out fast but the lobster took a significant time to come out. Also did not have any garlic butter sauce available or any dipping sauce which was weird for a seafood dinner.
Three hundred something dollars for all-you-can-eat lobster is a good deal, but the service was incredibly slow, and they frequently missed orders. I waited half an hour before my first lobster arrived. Besides lobster, there was no other grilled seafood, only cold seafood, and even fewer other food options. The entire buffet area consisted of just one oval table and half a long table. There were only about four or five hot main dishes. The Japanese sashimi counter, however, deserves praise; the presentation was beautiful, and the sashimi wasn't served on small plates.
