Reviews summaryWe really enjoyed this tour! The main highlight was the adorable penguins returning from the ocean! It was fascinating to see them return to shore and waddle towards their homes. Some even climbed up the mountains to get to them. We highly recommend going on this tour with Go West.
This trip was absolutely amazing!! Full of good vibes and the kindest people ever. I had the best time with this tour. My tour guide was Woody and he was so helpful the whole time ✨ Literally made the trip 10 times better. If I go on another tour with them, I’d recommend Woody to everyone I know!! 10/10!! PERIODTTT. Also the price is such a steal for a day tour!! 😍😍 Thanks so much!!
My family with teenagers had an excellent time on this tour. We joined a small group tour which was well planned with a few other destinations before the highlight Penguin Parade. We saw the little penguins returned from the sea, gathered at the beach, waited for the others before they marched up to the penguins super highway to go back to their burrows. Absolutely amazing. Moonlit Santiary was surprisingly good and voted best (out of three zoos we visited during our Melbourne trip) by my family members. Special thanks to Mark K from Go West Tour who gave us an overview of Australian history during our ride and walked us round the sanctuary and sharing his knowledge along the way.
A wonderful 12-hour tour. the driver guide Michael knows his job well and talk us through the history of Melbourne and loads of other information. He’s also sociable and kept everyone entertained throughout. Got to see lots of previous animals in the tour
The tour guide was very enthusiastic and introduced us to many other attractions in Melbourne along the way. The zoo was small, but the animals here were very free; kangaroos and geese walked around the park at will. It rained when we went to Nobbies Point, but the scenery was even more spectacular, with huge waves. We also discovered little penguins hiding in the caves. On the way to Penguin Parade, the guide took us to look for wild kangaroos and penguins again. The penguin parade performance at night was also thrilling. Although it was very cold today, it was a perfect trip.
David is very good. He treats every passenger warmly and sincerely, and tries his best to meet the needs of passengers. He explains humorously along the way, and his driving skills are first-class! Thank you very much, David, for leaving a very good impression on me when I came to Melbourne for the first time!
Meeting Go to west travel agency on a long, full-day tour was truly a stroke of luck. (I'm deliberately taking a different tour with a different agency and regretting it immensely.) Having traveled to many countries and participated in numerous tour programs, this one ranks among the very best. (I heard from another traveler that this agency is highly recommended even within Australia.) The kind confirmation and easily understandable English put me at ease from the start. The group size was perfect at around 20 people, the meeting times were intuitively displayed on a whiteboard, there was Wi-Fi on the bus (though it wasn't very reliable), the explanations were concise and easy to understand, the music during transit was fitting, the meal times and tour time allocation were well-managed, and the wildlife spotting was fascinating - it was all perfect. What made this whole experience so satisfying was our guide James A's humor, positive energy, and his wise judgment and leadership. Thank you also to our wonderful driver (with the cute smile) who meticulously looked for and avoided animals and ensured we arrived safely late at night. I am truly grateful to those who made my precious day so wonderful.
Lisa was an amazing guide, super friendly, energetic and passionate about her country! We had a great time during the tour. The duration of each venue was reasonable. The van was comfortable and Lisa driving skills were superb, sparing us from motion sickness. Though no photography allowed at night at penguin parade, the penguins were so adorable.
The tour was amazing! I enjoyed my day! The tour guide Alisha was amazing! Definitely getting a five stars. She explained everything well, she told us histories, what happen to injured animals, she took care of us very well. She made sure we r comfortable, enjoyed our time. I will definitely come back. penguine plus definitely worth it! u get to see the oenguins up close, i would suggest get an UPGRADE! and yes i will definitely recommend Go West Tours for anyone who wish to have the best experience in Melbourne.
We joined the Philip Island Day Tour as a family of four (2 adults and 2 kids), and it was such a memorable experience! Our guide, Jacqui, was fantastic — especially considering it was her first day back. She was warm, knowledgeable, and made the whole trip feel smooth and enjoyable. We started at the iconic Brighton Beach Boxes, then headed to the wildlife sanctuary where the kids had a great time. We were pleasantly surprised to find halal food options available there, which was a big plus for us. Along the way, we also made a few scenic stops to explore the beautiful coastal beaches. The highlight, of course, was ending the day with the Penguin Parade. Even though it was rainy, we still managed to see the adorable penguins waddling up the shore. Just a tip for future visitors: umbrellas aren’t allowed at the parade, so be sure to bring raincoats and dress warmly! Overall, a well-organised and enjoyable day trip that our whole family loved. Highly recommended!
