Blue Mountain Sunset & Stargazing tour with Featherdale Zoo

The tour with our guide, Young, was very satisfying! :) During the bus ride, he shared various interesting stories about Australia, which was as engaging as listening to the radio. I also liked that we had the freedom to explore at our own pace, as long as we kept to the schedule for Featherdale Wildlife Park, Blue Mountains, sunset, dinner, and stargazing. I highly recommend this tour for anyone who enjoys exploring independently. Also, on September 1st, the city, where the tour started, was quite warm, but the Blue Mountains after sunset were chilly and windy, so I recommend wearing a fleece or a light down jacket!

Thanks to Kelvin Sung's detailed explanations, I was able to efficiently explore Featherdale Wildlife Park in a short amount of time, understanding the characteristics and routes of various animals. During the Blue Ocean Sunset Tour, his prompt guidance also allowed me to capture great photos with beautiful backdrops. I was initially worried about the weather forecast predicting clouds in the evening, but thanks to our guide, I was able to quickly enjoy a brief stargazing experience at an excellent spot. I'm incredibly grateful to our guide for diligently taking photos of me throughout the tour, even though I was traveling alone, and for always striving to provide the best possible convenience. It was a truly satisfying tour!

On August 28th, I went on the Featherdale Wildlife Park and Blue Mountains tour with guide Lee Hyun-jin. Thanks to our guide, the tour was incredibly fun and fulfilling all day long! 👍🏻 First, at Featherdale Wildlife Park, it was truly healing to see cute Australian animals like quokkas, wombats, and kangaroos up close. 🦘🤍 Best of all, the weather that day was incredibly clear, so we were able to see a magnificent view from the Blue Mountains Echo Point! It was much grander and more beautiful in person than in pictures. 🥹 Thanks to our guide taking us to a great spot for the sunset, we were able to take many wonderful photos and capture beautiful sunset videos. 🌅 For dinner, we visited Rustico, a restaurant in Katoomba recommended by our guide, and their wood-fired pizza was absolutely delicious… 🍕 I personally highly recommend it. ⭐⭐⭐ And finally, the much-anticipated stargazing tour ✨. Around 7 PM, clouds suddenly started rolling in, and I was worried we wouldn't be able to see any stars. However, our guide quickly took us to a spot where we could see the stars before more clouds gathered, so thankfully, we saw many stars. :) Our guide explained each of the constellations that can only be seen in Australia and thoughtfully took photos of everyone on the tour, one team at a time, which I really appreciated. 👍🏻👍🏻 From the initial wildlife park visit to the Blue Mountains, sunset, dinner, and finally stargazing, thanks to guide Lee Hyun-jin, I had a truly fulfilling and enjoyable day! Although we didn't manage to do the stargazing because of the rainy weather, we visited many places & managed to take many good photos. The tour guide also took pretty photos & videos for us. The stargazing session was replaced with city night view under harbour bridge. You can see Sydney Opera House and the cityscape from here.

I'm writing this from the perspective of a Japanese person with junior high school level English, traveling alone. At the meeting point, a Korean driver (and guide) was standing in a visible spot and said, "Single seat!" which put me at ease. First, they asked for my SNS account so they could send updates about meeting times during free time and upload photos they took (more on that later). (Japanese participants joined a LINE group; WhatsApp and Kakao were also options.) It seemed there were other solo travelers, so I was able to enjoy myself without worrying about being alone. They took photos at various spots, and even solo travelers were photographed without any hesitation. During the bus ride, all explanations about Australian history and the origins of our destinations were in Korean, so I used Google's real-time translation on my phone, which worked out fine. (Important things like meeting times were communicated in English.) This was a half-day tour during my solo trip to Australia, and initially, I just booked it to pass the time, but it turned out to be a very satisfying day.

I went on the Blue Mountains tour on August 21st, and it was such a fulfilling and satisfying program! Our guide, Young, was incredibly kind. He shared so many interesting stories about Australia, which made the trip even more enjoyable and was genuinely helpful in many ways. I was initially very worried about the weather, but he always guided us at the perfect times, allowing us to see truly beautiful scenery. He also recommended restaurants with a neatly organized map, which helped us enjoy delicious meals! I was so grateful for his enthusiastic photo-taking. The drive was also very comfortable, so I didn't feel any discomfort during the long journey, and I could tell he paid meticulous attention to every detail throughout the trip. The itinerary was well-planned, making it feel like we truly explored Australia in a short amount of time. Thanks to this, I think I learned and enjoyed more about Australia than if I had just done typical sightseeing. I'm truly grateful for the comfortable and enjoyable atmosphere he maintained from beginning to end :)

My mother and I, as non-Korean tourists, still had a perfect travel experience that completely exceeded our expectations. Our guide, Kelvin Sung, was very responsible and could communicate in English. He told interesting stories in the car, actively helped us take photos in the evening, and went above and beyond to find stars, so much so that our stargazing time even exceeded what we anticipated. We first went to Featherdale Wildlife Park at noon, where we had plenty of time to explore. This zoo was very interactive; I fed different types of kangaroos, sheep, and other animals, and even touched many cute small animals. Later, we headed to the Blue Mountains. Our guide, Kelvin, cleverly designed the route to help us avoid crowds. We first enjoyed delicious ice cream in a village, then arrived at a scenic cliff where only our group was present, allowing us to enjoy the beautiful scenery. Next, we went to Echo Point, where we saw the beautiful Three Sisters peaks and the stunning sunset. Dinner time followed in a village with many food options, and Kelvin gave us many recommendations; the Vietnamese pho was excellent. Finally, the highlight of the day was stargazing. As soon as I got out of the car, I was awestruck by the sky full of stars. Our guide continuously introduced different constellations, explaining in detail what the different twinkling lights meant, which taught me a lot. He also actively helped us with photo composition. The luckiest part was that we even saw a meteor; it was the first time I had ever seen one in my life, and I was absolutely overjoyed. When the sky was blocked by clouds, he observed the sky and quickly drove to another location. After we arrived at the new spot, the stars reappeared. We lay on the ground looking at the sky, comfortably enjoying that wonderful moment, and also captured magnificent pictures of the Milky Way. The day's journey was very fulfilling and perfect, and the guide's itinerary planning was flawless. We were also very lucky. The guide was enthusiastic, always greeted us kindly, and was very knowledgeable, constantly sharing scientific facts in the car. He also drove very smoothly, and we didn't experience any dizziness. I only booked this Korean tour at 9 AM that morning, but it truly gave us a big surprise. Many thanks to our guide Kelvin and the travel agency; his itinerary was different from Chinese tour groups, but it gave us a very unique and perfect experience. (It was also great value for money.)

This tour was incredibly satisfying! Our guide, Kelvin Sung, was so kind and knowledgeable. Even though it was a cloudy day, we were able to see a beautiful sunset and even stars from the spots our guide took us to! I went on the Blue Mountains Sunset Tour with guide Kelvin on August 18th! Even though it was rainy and difficult to see the stars, Guide Kelvin tried his very best until the end to show us the stars. Thanks to his efforts, we were able to see some beautiful stars peeking through the clouds for a brief moment, which made it an even more special memory. The explanations he gave during our travels were interesting and easy to understand, and his pleasant voice made it comfortable to listen. Especially when watching the sunset, instead of taking us to a crowded, typical observation deck, the guide took us to a quiet spot he personally selected, allowing us to leisurely enjoy the beautiful scenery all to ourselves. Despite the bad weather, thanks to Guide Kelvin, who did his best until the very end, it was a truly enjoyable and satisfying tour. I'd love to join again on a day with better weather. I highly recommend this tour to anyone considering a Blue Mountains tour!

At Featherdale Wildlife Park, you can feed quokkas and kangaroos, and even pet a wombat's behind! ♡ I got to see all the animals I wanted to see in Australia 🦘 The Blue Mountains are truly wonderful!! It made me realize once again how beautiful nature is 🥹🥹 You absolutely must do the stargazing experience… ⭐︎ It was the most memorable moment! They take beautiful photos for you, but since pictures can't capture it all, you really have to see it with your own eyes! It was even more enjoyable because we were with our kind and informative guide, Cha Kyung-seop!!
