Mould in rooms, food on floor, stained sheets, well worn mattress and pillow making the bed extremely hard. No luggage room, just leave bags unattended and unsecured in reception. No toiletries in room. Cups had toothpaste and fingerprints all over. Electric wires hanging loses. Evidence of rodents in room. Complained to reception who couldn’t care less, said to speak to manager in morning. Other guests were waiting to complain too. Next day there was nobody there. No answer to calls or emails. Expedia have now tried to contact the property to get them to compensate.

This may be the worst hotel we’ve stayed in.It was dirty, the carpet on the floors had clearly not been vacuumed or cleaned in a long time. There was mold on the carpet in the room and in the bathroom. The bedside light fixtures didn’t work. The king bed was the most uncomfortable bed I’ve ever slept in at a hotel. We almost just forfeited the cost of the room and went somewhere else but it was late after a concert. Would not recommend staying here.

Great location, needs a refresh of the property, but there are lots that could be done in the meantime like fix the WiFi, repair broken windows…. Get working fans in the rooms…

I genuinely wish I could give this hotel zero stars. I stayed here recently and it was one of the worst hotel experiences I have had in years. The property is being scored around 6.2 online, but that feels wildly inflated based on what I encountered. The room itself was in poor condition. The bathroom had visible black mould, a leaky shower, and clearly had not been properly maintained or updated in decades. There were noticeable layers of dust on the carpet. While the bedsheets were clean, that was about the only positive thing I can say about the cleanliness and upkeep. There was no air conditioning whatsoever, only a small, ineffective fan. The room faced the baking sun, and although the window opened, it did little to help with the stifling heat. I barely slept at all during my stay. On top of that, the room was located at the top of six or seven very steep staircases with no lift available, which made arrival and departure exhausting, especially with luggage. For the price I paid (roughly three times what I would expect for basic accommodation), this was completely unacceptable. Had it been £50 a night I might have been more understanding, but at this rate it was horrific value. The whole experience felt like stepping back into 1950s England with the most basic amenities and very poor standards of maintenance and cleanliness. I have been left with a very bad taste in my mouth. I also find it suspicious that there are so many glowing 10/10 reviews on here.

I liked the location, very good, happy with that. I take responsibilities as I have made the booking without reading others customer comments. Not up anystandards: NO. Air-conditioning I had to ask for a fan No Elevator.... The fire sensor was covered with a plastic bag The toilet was leaking from the tube, I had to put a towel to prevent wet floor The carpet? Smell and very very old The chandler one bulb only The guy who checked me in , once I questioned him..no lift? He replies..in London if you want a lift you would pay over 200 pounds per night...we regret we didn't booked the Bayswater-in, same price almost, but well clean and elevator and Air-conditioning. After 3 days we managed to get a room on the ground floor, that saved our holidays as my wife could not climb these stairs above 50's of them. The two girls at the reception were a bit helpful, as well as the room maid, whatever we asked her she would follow up. In My opinion is to avoid this hotel if you can book anywhere else at the same price of just a bit over, To evevery one attention 1. No Elevator 2. No Air-conditioning I am not sure how can anyone survive during summertime, in such small room with no Air-conditioning. There is no maintenance at all in this hotel, as I haven't mentioned everything. Most concern Safety!

Good location. Room was good value for money

The staff presence was minimal. Several lights weren't working in the bathroom and ceiling. The large mirror on the only wardrobe door was cracked in two. Although the hotel didn't specify food, several of the photos in the web site gallery showed the dining area. One in particular plainly showed a table with a breakfast menu on it. When I asked reception on the first morning about breakfast they said that they didn't do food, but there was plenty of breakfast venues around, there wasn't!

It’s a little tired around the edges (carpet, wall scuffs both in public areas and the room) but for the price it was good value. The bed was comfortable and clean, the bathroom too, good wifi and kettle and coffee/tea was nice to have. It was quiet and I had a good nights sleep. I’d definitely stay here again for a quick overnight in London.

1. Extremely dirty and poorly maintained room. 2. Broken lamps, grimy and dirty and chipped mugs, broken trashcan, mouldy shower curtain. 3. Stained carpet, dirty and gross table, mouldy kettle 4. The pillows were extremely flat. We asked for another set of pillows and they were never provided. 5. Location was ok. Always ended up walking for ~15 mins to get to a tube stop and the bus wasn’t always consistent / on time. 6. Went to ask for an iron 5 times and only got it the 6th time bc someone had it.

Overall good . But we asked for a new waterboiler because it was broken and it was not taken care off.
