I really was hoping to enjoy this hotel. The staff and location are wonderful. The lobby area is very cute. We stayed in the courtyard room downstairs in the main building. The room itself was extremely disappointing. Peeling stick on wall paper, only 1 of 4 overhead lights worked, the curtains were shoddily hung and did not fully close. You cannot open the courtyard door without leaving the curtains open. There is also no way to lock the door, though the digital lock does secure itself, I would have preferred a little extra security. There was air-con in the room, which was a surprise and useful since we couldn’t get much airflow without being on display to the neighbor. None of this was especially terrible, but it was not what I expected based on what I saw in the photos in advance.
The bathroom is the reason I would not stay here again. I know for some it’s not that off putting, but it appeared to be a modular self-contained bathroom added to a room that maybe didn’t have one previously. It’s a box, floor to ceiling white plastic, with a tight shower, toiled and sink. There’s a small lip from the shower that holds the water that collects at your feet quickly as you use it. When it fills beyond that, it spills into the rest of the box and around the toilet (where the trash bin sits). There’s a moldy shower curtain despite the fact the room floods immediately. The shower head has no holder.

I booked a ground floor in (March of 2025 )room as I am in a wheelchair - room ‘assigned’was down 9 stairs- despite having an email ensuring that a ground floor room was set aside for us .
Broken list - curtains and hooks , shower curtain completely useless - I kept re hooking it each time , but it fell apart , and mould on the bottom of it . Disgusting .
Occasional chair broken- couldn’t be used . Bedside table lamp broken and obviously so.
Kitchen had a microwave , toaster and kettle. POD coffee machine , but no info as to what pods to buy . A half bottle of dish liquid , but no dishcloths or a tea towel. No other cooking utensils.
All the cutlery and 2 plates & 2 bowls were dirty -water in the bottom of the cereal bowls and then put away, I re washed and dried and left clean. The kitchen benches had dried food and coffee rings on them - again , I cleaned before even thinking to use them.
Outside the glass pictured window was a bundle of cobwebs, a broken pigeon vane detractor, several cans of soft drink and just general rubbish - no curtain so couldn’t help but see it . Rugs are a trip hazard - and I did !
Last thing I will say is the state of the cleanliness of the toilet was deplorable, absolutely disgusting and if the Mgrs are paying someone to clean- they should be removed . I have photos of all these issues .
I did send an email to Management before writing this, but no reply .
I was berated by a manager when I started a conversation with him when checking out .

While this hotel was relatively inexpensive, the amount I paid was similar to what I have paid for much nicer London hotels. While the communal area was nicely decorated, the room itself was of a poor standard - curtains hanging off the rail and only hooked on with broken paperclips, shower curtain completely hanging off, some mould in the bathroom, broken lamp. On the plus side, it was a very hot day and the in-room air conditioning was excellent and kept the room lovely and cool. Staff were friendly and helpful. Overall, I suppose it was fine for just sleeping in, which was all we did, and location nice and central, but the poor state of repair of the furniture/fixtures and fittings in the room made the place seem poorly maintained and made me question how well the place was looked after.

GoodStayed with friends · For friends and family
Overall, the apartment looked clean, with comfortable, tidy beds, attractive décor, and very effective air conditioning. There were plenty of towels, which was appreciated.
However, there were several maintenance and practical issues that affected our stay. The shower curtain was broken, which made me question whether maintenance issues are noticed during cleaning. While the apartment appeared clean, a broken shower fitting doesn't inspire confidence that everything is being thoroughly checked.
The bedside lamp was broken, and the TV remote only had one battery, so it didn't work properly. The kitchen was also missing some basics, such as enough large water glasses, sufficient wine glasses, kitchen towels, and a small table for drinks. There was a coffee machine, but only a minimal number of coffee pods, along with a few tea bags and milk pots.

The place was horrible. The doors didn't even close and the rooms smelled like sewage. Aside from being a walkable distance from Kings Cross, would avoid it if possible. Our clothes smelled of sewage after we left. The staff is very kind especially the gentleman from Brazil. He was super helpful and kind. We can tell they are doing the best they can, but the place needs a lot of work!

Overall we had a great stay here. The staff were really welcoming & friendly. The only complaint I would have is that the door does not lock from the inside which did give me a bit of anxiety. Otherwise no complaints!

This was a last minute booking and I understand we were close to the tube system. Check in process was easy. However, the overall room was not pleasant. I'm not complaining about the size of the room, because yes, it was small and I expecting hat, but the room layout was awkward. We were staying in the basement so we heard the the subway well into the night. The bed was so worn out it was shaped like a banana and you could feel the springs. It was extremely warm down there. The room had an AC unit but no way to turn it on that I knew of. It looked like it was just installed because the drywall in the ceiling was cut out and pieced back. Even though we had the window open, the amount of people smoking outside near by made us keep it closed.

Lots of ants in the room. Bed’s horrendously uncomfortable. Shower was that bad I’d rather not get in it. The tray was split in 2 with a very poor silicone repair holding it together. There’s a coffee machine with no water tank. The staff are great and, Pedro was fantastic when checking us in but, the rooms need a serious overhaul.
