spacious. very central location. however it is very noisy at night as we stayed here on saturday night.

convenient Location and room quality is good

Conveniently located near Wynyard Station and fairly good facilities. A little bit loud at times due to the location but otherwise fairly good value for money.

Our family's first stay in Sydney was spent at THE OCCIDENTAL, and it turned out to be a delightful choice. Though not a luxury hotel, it's perfect for travelers who need a clean, comfortable place to rest after exploring the city. Our room had one matrimonial bed and two twin beds - cozy and just right for us. While it had no private bathroom, the shared facilities were exceptionally clean, well-stocked, and constantly maintained. The staff were friendly and the mannager, who reminded me of Shang-Chi (yes, fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe! yo MK! hahaha), was very welcoming. The best thing about The Occidental is its prime location-walking distance to major tourist spots and just minutes from Wynyard Station, which makes Sydney super accessible. Highly recommended for families or groups who want convenience, comfort and value. We'll definitely stay here again.

clean in cbd close to everything. no issues

The Occidental Hotel is located in the heart of Sydney and is suitable for those on a low budget. At night, you may sometimes hear the sound of traffic, but it doesn’t affect much because the rooms are well renovated and the windows have double glazing. The lift is a little dated and not very smooth, so I preferred using the big staircase.

On the ground floor, there is a pub, which gets crowded and noisy in the afternoon. On the first floor, there is a private dining room, separate from the ground floor. I believe guest rooms are available from the 2nd to the 4th floor. There aren’t many rooms, so if you decide to stay here, please book early as it sells out quickly.

**I am very happy with my stay at the Occidental Hotel, a place with a long history. I love its architecture, which makes me feel as if I’ve stepped back into the 18th century. From the window of my room, I could see doves visiting and a large clock tower — it was so romantic. The room is spacious and even has a sink inside. My floor has 2 bathrooms and 2 toilets (separate for men and women), making a total of 4 bathrooms. The air conditioning works well, so I never felt cold even when going out to the bathroom. Check-in was easy — just go to the pub reception and ask for help. For check-out, you simply return the key to the box on the first floor. The location is excellent — just a short walk to Wynyard Station, with easy access to Circular Quay, Town Hall, QVB, and Darling Harbour. It’s also close to Coles supermarket. Overall, a perfect location!**

Its right in the heart of Sydney. Near to train stations and shops!

Hotel staff is very friendly , hotel location is superb but the room decoration is a bit old .
