Our favorite hotel among the 3 we stayed at during our trip and Klook had the best rates for this one (comparing w/ their official website, Booking, and Agoda). Asai was super comfortable, fantastic value for money, easily accessible via bus. When we were checking in, they upgraded us to the next room type up after we signed up for Dusit Thani membership online. All in all a wonderful stay and would book again in a heartbeat. This made us not want to leave Kyoto haha

Really comfortable hotel, nice front desk staffs, mostly English speaking. There’s a bar and restaurant at the lobby, making it so lively. As from the reviews that said Thai food from the restaurant is so good, as a Thai, I think it was just ok nothing special. Also, I see some reviews mentioned the rooms are in the basement, if you don’t want basement room opt for “Comfy” room as they are on top levels. No sure if there’s any parking, but convenient location to see around Kyoto, though we had to take buses to get where we want to go. Free water in the room daily, bed is made daily, the shower water pressure is superb my husband love it. Overall very pleasant stay.
