From start to finish, this tour was absolutely fantastic. Our guide, Steve, was knowledgeable, personable, and went out of their way to make sure everyone had a great time. The itinerary was well-paced—busy enough to see all the highlights but never rushed. The vehicle was clean and comfortable, and the included lunch box was a delicious surprise. I especially appreciated the small-group setting, which made it easy to ask questions and connect with fellow travelers. Whether you’re a history buff, a photo lover, or just looking for a stress-free way to explore, this tour delivers. Worth every penny. Highly recommend!

Anna was a great guide! Very knowledgeable, & I enjoyed listening to her share about her wealth of experiences in other NZ cities and in other countries. My parents & I had a fun time onboard the Milford Sound cruise - I really do prefer seeing it in rainy weather, where many more waterfalls appear and the thick layer of fog adds a layer of ethereal mystery. We were also very fortunate to see dolphins swimming next to our boat! My only feedback: we boarded the boat a bit later, after another tour bus from Cheeky Kiwi too had boarded, and all the window seats had been snapped up. I was actually quite disappointed because my aged parents aren’t as mobile, so they stayed seated in the middle seats during the whole duration of the cruise and could not climb to the bow / stern to truly enjoy Milford Sound, while some groups of people from certain countries occupied a whole 6-seater window seat with only 2 pax. That’s not very nice, is it? Yeah, nahhhhh… But otherwise, it was a great trip.

A fantastic experience! I recommend choosing the sunset time so you can enjoy the sunset, daytime, and nighttime views from the boat. Although you can't photograph the fireflies, they are truly spectacular. Hot drinks are provided after the firefly viewing.

More than 5 stars! We were so lucky to have Abby as our guide—she was fantastic. Warm, engaging, and very easy to listen to. She shared great stories and even had an amazing playlist that made the trip more enjoyable. At the start, I was a bit worried after seeing another guide from the same company come across as quite dismissive to a guest, which left a poor first impression. Thankfully, we ended up with Abby, who completely turned the experience around. Overall, the tour was a huge success thanks to her. Highly recommend!

It's very much like looking at stars on a night with no light pollution, but it's better not to know the truth; it's actually a terrifying slug.
