Good Room with Lakeview. Neat & Clean rooms. Good environment to stay and spacious Mess Hall to make your own food and eat at dining hall. Very Close to Lake Tekapo, Church of Good Shepherd and Tekapo Springs. All walking distance.

very friendly and super nice staff. lodge was heated and absolutely clean. only gripe was that the bathroom wasn’t present in the lodge. They should introduce the same.

We absolutely loved our stay at Aoraki Court Motel! We were lucky enough to get a room in the last row, so our balcony had a direct view of the mountains, which was absolutely beautiful.
We even made two little duck friends who always came to our balcony as a pair and knocked whenever we were there 😂 Definitely one of the cutest memories from our stay.
The night view was also unforgettable. The sky was filled with thousands of stars, and you could honestly just stand there staring at them forever despite how cold it was outside.
I also really liked that we could park our car directly in front of our doorstep, which made moving all our luggage in and out so much more convenient.
Overall, the location, views and experience were amazing. We would definitely recommend Aoraki Court Motel and would happily stay here again!

The provided equipment was quite comprehensive, the ground crew explained everything in great detail, and the helicopter was very new. Once we reached the glacier, our hiking guide, Hunter, was humorous and engaging, giving us a complete and enjoyable experience. Thank you to the entire team for their efforts!

This was my first stargazing tour, and it was even cheaper than the official website. The service was excellent; you don't have to worry about not having warm enough clothes, as they provide one-piece down jackets. It seemed like they had four or five sizes! The only downside was that we attended on the 15th day of the first lunar month, which was a full moon. This affected the stargazing, making it a bit less impressive than I had imagined. For the "Dark Sky Project," they transport you from the base of the mountain to the observatory reserve, where a specialist explains various astronomical phenomena. They also ask if anyone has questions about astronomy. If you're not familiar with the twelve planets and some specialized astronomical English terms, it might be a bit challenging to understand. However, they do offer an earlier session in Chinese. They also use the observatory's super-large stargazing telescope, which was my first time experiencing something like that, and I found it incredibly amazing and a rare opportunity! But if your visit falls around the new moon or full moon, I would advise against participating, as you might be disappointed.

Truly amazing! We used professional astronomical telescopes to see so many fascinating celestial bodies! We saw Venus, which has phases just like the moon; the stunning Tarantula Nebula, which is a birthplace of beautiful baby stars; the Wishing Well Cluster; the gorgeous, jewel-like 47 Tucanae cluster; and Saturn with its rings. It was just incredible! Despite the cold weather, there was hot cocoa and a roasted marshmallow activity! Plus, everyone gets a professional photo of the starry sky. Definitely worthy of a 5-star review!

We were incredibly lucky to have perfect weather — it was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Both my child and I were thrilled and had a great time. Our guide Jasper that day was exceptionally attentive and considerate, and we all really liked him. We highly recommend everyone to try the glacier hiking tour.
