Things to do in Ihlara Valley

The hot air balloon guide was fantastic! High energy throughout the ride, and even though it was my first time and i was slightly nervous, his excitement and confidence helped ease the nerves. 10/10 would recommend and go again! superb experience for a good price in June!! Overlooking Cappadocia's iconic "fairy chimney" rock formations in Göreme, and exploring the underground cities and rock-cut caves, you'll feel as if you're traveling through history and natural wonders. From a high vantage point, these rock formations and caves, sculpted by time, resemble an alien landscape. Stepping into thousand-year-old rock ruins and underground cities, and gazing out through narrow rock-cut windows, you'll witness history and nature converging to create a breathtaking scale. In the afternoon, a stroll through the towering trees offers a refreshing escape as cool stream water flows beneath your feet, instantly washing away the dry heat. Surrounded by flocks of geese and ducks in the pond, and encountering a sudden close-up from a roadside cat—beyond the grand scenery, these lively and heartwarming small moments become the gentlest footnotes of the day.

I had a really satisfying experience overall. Our guide, Eda, was very kind and gave us helpful explanations throughout the tour. The tour was well-organized and offered great value for money. We visited Göreme Panorama, Derinkuyu Underground City, Selime Monastery, Ihlara Valley, and Pigeon Valley. At each stop, Eda gave us a brief explanation and then allowed us enough free time to look around at our own pace. We had lunch before moving to Ihlara Valley, and there were various main dish options, including fish, meatballs, chicken, beef, mushroom, and vegetarian choices. The Ihlara Valley hike was a bit hot even in June, but we were able to rest in the shade and enjoy it comfortably. The hotel pickup was right on time at 9:30 a.m., and we returned to the hotel around 4:30 p.m. There were only five people in the tour group including me, so the schedule went smoothly without any delays. Overall, it was a well-paced, efficient, and enjoyable tour. I would definitely recommend it!

It was so good! Highly, highly recommend! The price was cheaper than other places, and it included the entrance fee and lunch! The guide, who spoke Korean very well, told us interesting stories and kindly answered all my questions. Even though I participated alone, I had a really fun and memorable time. Also, I've seen many comments saying that other green tours are long and involve a lot of walking, making them tiring, but this one returned around 4:30 PM, and the timing and physical exertion were just perfect!

Although the travel agency's WhatsApp was difficult to reach (slow response time), the local representatives they partnered with were very responsible and provided excellent service. The hot air balloon ride was successful on the second day, and overall, the experience was quite good and very special. Additionally, the horseback riding activity included in the package was amazing, and when the horses were unstable, the guide was very responsible in resolving issues and making us feel safe. I would like to especially thank Muhittin, the horseback riding guide. Not only did he take great photos, but he also safely led us through the entire journey. Despite the slow WhatsApp responses, overall, it's still worth five stars.

Since it was just the two of us, it felt like a private tour! We were able to visit Derinkuyu Underground City, which was our main goal, and we were very satisfied with the tour content! Our guide, ANIL, explained everything clearly and was very considerate about things like restroom breaks and staying hydrated, which made the whole day enjoyable! Thank you very much!

He explained everything in clear and easy-to-understand English, which made the tour enjoyable and informative. Since I joined the tour alone, he kindly took many beautiful photos for me, which I really appreciated. I also felt very safe with our driver, Musa. His driving was smooth and comfortable throughout the day. Joining the Green Tour was truly a memorable experience, and I made wonderful memories. Convenience: It was easy to book, and using it was convenient too, as I just had to show the voucher code for immediate entry. Included Activities: It was great to experience a variety of activities, but I wish more passes were available for popular tourist areas like Cappadocia and Antalya. I used three passes: Basilica Cistern, Cappadocia Cave Dinner Show, and Pamukkale. If you choose the fast-track option for Basilica Cistern, you get in really quickly; the regular line was too long. Also, download the audio guide beforehand and listen to it at your accommodation. Even if you download it, once you're on-site, the data connection might drop midway, and it's too chaotic with so many tourists to concentrate anyway, haha. And the complimentary cruise was really good! However, for the unlimited drinks package, the seats are in the center, so you can't sit by the edge; those seats are reserved for people who booked with a meal. But I was satisfied because going downstairs to the first floor after the boat departed and standing outside was cooler, offered better views, and made for great photos.
