Despite the rain today, we were still able to visit Battleship Island. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, explaining everything diligently (even though we didn't understand Japanese), and their enthusiasm was truly heartwarming ❤️. Please note that this company uses newer, more comfortable boats!

Hotel JAL City Nagasaki: A Full Review This hotel offers exceptional value and Japanese quality accommodation in the heart of Nagasaki. Its prime location is a major highlight, situated right next to Shinchi Chinatown, with various restaurants and snack shops just outside the door. It's within walking distance of Spectacles Bridge, Dejima, and Hamamachi Shopping Street. The streetcar station is only a 3-4 minute walk away, making it incredibly convenient to reach all major Nagasaki attractions and transportation hubs. It's an ideal choice for both leisure travelers and short business trips. The hotel boasts a retro Shanghai-themed, light luxury minimalist design, creating a sophisticated and tranquil atmosphere. The entire property is meticulously maintained, with rooms and bathrooms spotlessly clean. The soundproofing is excellent, ensuring quiet hallways and guest rooms, so you won't be disturbed by outside noise, leading to a very good night's sleep. Guest rooms are fully equipped and modern, featuring soft and comfortable bedding, an en-suite bathroom, a capsule coffee machine, a refrigerator, free high-speed WiFi, and a smart toilet. Amenities are replenished daily in ample supply. The spacious rooms feel open and comfortable, maximizing the living experience. Breakfast is a buffet with Japanese, Western, and Chinese options, offering a rich variety of dishes, including many local Nagasaki specialties. The ingredients are fresh, and the flavors are authentic, with breakfast quality far exceeding that of hotels in the same price range. The front desk service is gentle and attentive, offering luggage storage and flexible check-in/check-out. Staff are responsive and patiently assist with any issues, providing an excellent service experience. Additionally, the hotel features unique cultural details, with Edo-period Dejima ancient paintings and historical stone wall relics displayed in the lobby, allowing guests to experience Nagasaki's historical heritage during their stay. With an overall rating of 8.4+, it's a hidden gem in Nagasaki that you can confidently choose for your trip. Its value, location, and environment are all top-notch. I will definitely stay here again on my next visit to Nagasaki.
