Things to do in Leshan Giant Buddha

It was a good trip and the guide was thoughtfull and informative.

Our tour guide was very thoughtful. Our accommodation was a bit far, outside the Third Ring Road, so they arranged for a driver to take us to the meeting point in the morning. My husband and I, our three-year-old child, and our elderly parents went together, and all the attractions were free for the child. However, I must mention that this itinerary involves a lot of walking, so it can be quite strenuous if you're not physically fit. Qingcheng Mountain in the morning was absolutely beautiful, truly living up to its reputation as the most serene mountain under heaven. We kept walking and walking, and eventually, the elderly members of our group stopped to rest near the summit, while we continued to the very top. After lunch, we proceeded to the Dujiangyan Irrigation System. This incredibly magnificent project was very enlightening, and we learned about the deeds of General Li Bing of the Qin Dynasty, which filled us with immense admiration for him. There was never a dull moment throughout the entire trip. If you're in good physical condition, I highly, highly recommend it!

Today's day trip to Leshan Giant Buddha and Mount Emei was incredibly fortunate. First, the Golden Summit of Mount Emei had surprisingly clear skies, even though the mountainside was very foggy and nothing could be seen. Second, our tour guide today, Yang Xiaodan, was very attentive and clearly put a lot of effort into her explanations. Her constant smile also made the entire experience very pleasant.

I had an amazing experience on the Mt. Emei tour booked through Klook, and a big part of that was our wonderful guide, 小王. From the beginning of the trip, 小王 was friendly, professional, and incredibly organized. She explained the itinerary clearly, managed the schedule efficiently, and made sure everyone in the group felt comfortable throughout the day. What really stood out was her extensive knowledge of Mt. Emei’s history, culture, and Buddhist significance. Her explanations made the experience much more meaningful and helped us appreciate the beauty and importance of each site we visited. Despite the crowds and logistics involved, 小王 handled everything smoothly and was always patient when answering questions or helping group members. She also shared useful tips on the best photo spots and local recommendations, which made the trip even more enjoyable. If you’re considering a Mt. Emei tour on Klook, I highly recommend it—especially if you have 小王 as your guide.

It was a great trip and a nice way to experience different cultures and religious traditions. The only thing is, it would’ve been even better if there had been an English-speaking guide.

It's quite a test of endurance for one day; hiking up to see the Giant Buddha in the morning and exploring the ancient town in the afternoon. The good thing is, if you don't feel like exploring the ancient town, you can always sit and enjoy some tea there, which is quite relaxing.
