Our tour guide, Hua Hua, is the best that a group can have. He is very funny and keep our group alive. He constantly updates us on what to expect and the places to go around Arashimaya. He is a good singer, too! Thank you for hosting us, Hua Hua!

Did this tour with my family and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. Our tour guide Aki was kind, informative and always ensured no one was left behind. I really enjoyed the historical facts she provided while we walked through the gardens of Tenryu-ji Temple. The photos speak for themselves on how beautiful it was. After reading the reviews I wasn’t expecting very much with the lunch buffet but I liked it. It gave me Japanese school camp mess hall vibes and was tasty. Everything went to plan and based on my experience I would 100% recommend this tour. However, I understand some people get unlucky when the boat ride is cancelled due to low water levels or excess rain, and the river ride is a huge part of the experience. A very beautiful place and a fantastic trip. The timing was well-planned. These places are a bit far from downtown Kyoto, so it's really convenient to have someone assist with transportation. Highly recommended!

Very impressed with both the guide, Mr. Chan, and the tour program. It's a little unfortunate that it was very windy and cold today, and the river water was low, so the boat tour was canceled, but we got a refund for that portion (although not all of it). Very impressed. The route after the train ride has a short time of only 2.5 hours. If you can endure not having a serious lunch, you can complete everything, but we were hungry, so we ate at a tea shop for half an hour (many delicious shops). We didn't go to the monkey park because we don't like monkeys, but we went to Tenryu-ji Temple instead, and then out to the bamboo forest, which has a path leading down to the river, and then back to the main road. If you don't shop or stroll, or stand in line to buy coffee at the famous shop, you can make it to the kimono forest. I recommend using AI to help plan the walking route to make the walk smooth. In conclusion, the guide was very good, better than other routes (judging from asking other guides while waiting for the bus, others were very moody even though they were from the same company). Took the scenic train through Arashiyama in Kyoto, and the views did not disappoint! The ride along the river and through the lush greenery was super relaxing. I was really looking forward to the Hozugawa River boat tour too, but unfortunately, it got cancelled due to the weather. Still, the train ride alone made the trip worthwhile! The pick up point was easy to locate and staffs were friendly/helpful too.

It was very beutiful experience started with romantic train then river ride,, it was so fun! the buffet was nice too then perfect time to stroll around arashiyama..Our tour guide was very informative and helpful..
