Fantastic 5.0
We had a brilliant time on the tour. Taketo was a fantastic tour guide who was knowledgeable, engaging and spoke great English. He really made the day for us. The monkey park and vineyard were highlights of the day although all the locations we visited were stunning. I would absolutely recommend this tour to any other visitors!

Fantastic 5.0
This is a great way to see Nagano and the snow monkeys. The tour is often self directed as you get brought to a place, told a little about the history and architecture, and get the rest of the time to wander. My tour guide seemed a little nervous but he did a great job. Definitely worth my money.

Fantastic 5.0
It was a long drive, but totally worth it to see the snow monkeys. Our driver Atif was very accommodating. Overall it was an excellent experience. Just know that you're in for about 8hrs in the car and 2-3hrs of activity.

totally worth the effort to see the Snow Monkey (Japanese Macaques) at Jihokudani Monkey Park, Nagano. These macaques (happily bathing at steaming onsen) dont mind the presence of humans around them. But be ready to walk the ascending unpaved trail (approx 1.2km to 1.5km, one way). Also The visit to Tokagushi Shrine gives us a feeling of serenity with very high/old cedar trees lining both sides of the trail.

Fantastic 5.0
This was a great outing. It was a long bus ride, but the bus did stop regularly to allow us to stretch our legs and use the facilities. The tour guide was kind and did a lot of information sharing on the bus sound system (although it was very difficult to make out a lot of what he was saying - but he was making his best effort). The lunch stop for sukiyake was so delicious!! And the visit to the snow was great! It was a long walk uphill and up lots of stairs - but well worth the effort. We had sufficient amount of time to explore the ground and see the monkeys in this environment: both along the stream's edge and in the hot springs. There was staff around who would feed the monkey's regularly. It was fun to sit and watch the monkeys walk past us and move around all the people freely. A great experience (albeit a long one!) I would recommend.
