Fantastic 5.0
I've stayed here three times already, as the location is incredibly convenient, very close to Amsterdam Sloterdijk Station (a three-minute walk). This station offers trains (ten minutes to the airport, five minutes to the city center station), metro (lines 51/52), light rail/tram (line 19), and various bus options. Its functionality is comparable to Amsterdam Centraal Station, but the hotel price is about half! The hotel itself features modern and new decor. The rooms are equipped with a kitchen, cooking utensils, tableware, a microwave oven, and other amenities. The room space is very large, definitely enough for four people's luggage. If you're staying on the first floor but don't want to climb the stairs from the entrance to the reception, you can take the elevator next to the main door to the second floor, walk to the other end of the corridor, and then take the elevator there down to the first floor (we had someone with mobility issues in our group). While this method is a bit inconvenient, it avoids stairs. The hotel itself does not offer dining services, but it does provide facilities such as a gym, laundry room (washers and dryers), sauna, and a rooftop terrace. You can purchase drinks, snacks, salads, sandwiches, microwaveable meals, and more at the self-service shop on the first floor. I highly recommend The Breakfast Club near the hotel (open from 6 AM to 6 PM). Their breakfast and brunch are delicious, and I especially recommend the matcha latte and chicken waffles.

Fantastic 5.0
Just chanced upon this hotel but really pleased with it! Such a central location with so many restaurants/shops just around. Was initially worried about the noise at night as shared in other reviews, but it was a peaceful stay despite such a bustling weekend with Pride happening. City was so vibrant & the hotel was definitely busy, but you never felt that once you’re back in your room/floor. Had 2 rooms booked & I must say our room was better maintained / cleaned compared to the other room. Needless to say, we had 2 different room attendants.

More about Amsterdam hotels

Staying overview

Staying in Amsterdam shows a moderate spread between the most affordable and most premium hotel options — top-tier rooms run roughly 2.3 times the cost of the most budget choices — and the best balance between cost and comfort typically sits in the premium tier. If you want good value without stretching to the top end, premium hotels usually hit that sweet spot.

How hotel classes compare and who they suit

Economy options sit at the bottom end, offering the lowest nightly rates and suiting travellers prioritising budget over extras. Standard rooms are a step up in comfort and price from economy and work well for most travellers wanting a bit more space without a big premium. The biggest price jump comes when moving from premium to luxury, so premium sits comfortably above standard in quality while still being far more affordable than the top tier. Luxury rooms are the priciest choice and are best for travellers who prioritise top-end amenities and are willing to pay a clear premium.

When travellers from Australia typically book

Australia-based travellers usually lock in their rooms around 36 days ahead, with many booking earlier for peak-priced periods. Rates are typically lowest in January and highest in April; if you’re budget-led, plan for travel in January when prices are significantly lower than in April.
