Things to do in Sapa

Visiting Fansipan in Sa Pa was truly an unforgettable experience. The journey to the “Roof of Indochina” itself is an adventure. We started with the scenic monorail ride through the mountains, which offered breathtaking views of lush valleys and misty peaks. The transition to the Fansipan Cable Car was spectacular. Gliding above the clouds while surrounded by dramatic mountain landscapes felt magical and peaceful at the same time. After the cable car, the short tram ride and steps leading to the summit added a sense of excitement and accomplishment. Reaching the top and seeing the massive Buddha statue and the panoramic views across the mountains made the entire journey worth it. The atmosphere at the summit is spiritual and awe inspiring. Free buffet at Van Sam Restaurant, where the food options were immense. From local Vietnamese dishes to comforting warm meals perfect for the cool mountain. Overall, entire Fansipan experience was beautifully organized and absolutely memorable.

The Alpine Coaster in Sapa was a decent experience, but it fell short of expectations. The ride itself lasted only around five minutes, which felt quite short considering the ticket price of 250,000 VND. Unfortunately, the couple riding ahead of us were going extremely slow and kept braking throughout the track, which prevented us from reaching a good speed and really took away from the excitement of the ride. Since the coaster runs on a fixed track and you cannot overtake, you are basically stuck at the pace of the person in front of you. The surrounding views also were not as impressive as expected. There is a lot of construction happening around the area, which blocks much of the scenery that you would normally expect in Sapa. While the coaster itself is smooth and safe, the short duration, limited speed due to other riders, and obstructed views make it hard to justify the price. Overall, it was okay to try once, but it did not feel worth 250,000 VND.

I loved this trip so much. It was very fun and exciting to be surrounded by nature. Our guide, Ms. Dinh, was very patient and caring. She explained everything clearly and made sure we were comfortable. She also took amazing photos for us. Highly recommended!

We had a great day on our tour with MiMi. She gave us lots of information about the culture and was able to answer all of our questions. It was such a cool experience to go from way down in the valley to basically the tallest point in Vietnam. The visit to Moana was fun too and I liked that they had lots of options for picture taking so you didn’t waste all your time waiting.

Our tour guide Chung, brought 2 cars instead of 1 which is very considerate of him because there are 7 of us in the family. We appreciate his kind gesture of always being patient with us, especially when we take extra time to take pictures and walk (considering we have 2 seniors with us). He and the other driver took us to some amazing spots for photos and brought us back safely to the hotel. Highly recommend this private tour! 🌟

Our guide is Khu, she's so kind and provide us useful information about culture of three village. I tried to color my hands with indigo leaves, it's really turn blue slowly after green. Such an amazing journey with stunning view and people. My husband can not help but to take more and more shoots with his camera. Really recommend this tour... I walk around 19km with a very happy heart. Thanks Khu 😊
