228 Holiday Family Day | Stop 2 📍 Yuanlin Baiguoshan Discovery Park 🦖 After taking perfect photos at the Picture Book Park, the whole family got back in the car and headed straight to the second stop – Yuanlin Baiguoshan Discovery Park! As soon as we entered the park, various lifelike dinosaurs immediately caught Anbao's attention. She excitedly pointed at the dinosaurs, looking everywhere, and instantly switched into explorer mode 🦕. Big Bao and her sister held Anbao's hand and rushed towards the rainbow slide. Anbao even boldly declared, “I want to play a hundred times!” 😅 However, with the enthusiastic support of the scorching sun, after actually repeating it 5-6 times, the whole family unanimously decided to go indoors first to enjoy the air conditioning, rehydrate, and rest. Unexpectedly, as soon as Anbao saw the “corn kernel sandbox,” she instantly froze and couldn't move 🤣. So, we once again activated our family's classic mode – splitting up! 👨 Dad accompanied Anbao, who was immersed in the world of playing in the corn kernels. 👩 Mom took Big Bao and her sister to queue up for the “Jungle Track Racing” challenge. Although the queue was long, the two kids exclaimed after playing, “It's even more thrilling than a roller coaster!” Hearing that, the wait was instantly worth it ✨. Finally, the whole family gathered to queue up for the lazy river ride 🚣. As we floated along the winding waterway, Anbao laughed and shouted, “So exciting! So much fun!” Her happy expression was the best souvenir of the trip. The long holiday isn't just about going out; it's also about slowly collecting “memories of growing up together” ❤️. 228Holiday FamilyLife YuanlinBaiguoshanDiscoveryPark #KidsEnergyReleaseMode #DontWantToGoHome #3Y10M25D # # #

Booking convenience with Klook: Convenient, but on-site tickets are cheaper for young children. Experience: The park is of a good size, and the queues are relatively short. Facilities: All-inclusive tickets are great, except for the shooting range which felt a bit weak (many of the sensors were broken). The tobogganing area was the kids' favorite. Price: Acceptable

The trees in the Cheng Mei Cultural Park clearly show that a lot of effort has gone into pruning them; they are incredibly neat. Some of the walkways inside are cordoned off and inaccessible. To use the QR Code, you must first go to the ticket office to exchange it for a physical 100-dollar discount voucher before you can enter.

Good ticket price, fast process to enter, only need to show QR code at entrance ticket counter. A fantastic museum so far! Enjoyed the exhibition a lot, especially the rooms on the second floor. Also, it is one of the best places I‘ve visited in Lukang 🫶🏽

This time, I purchased the "Rollwood Living Museum" double ticket + DIY "Yao Yao" storage box activity and brought my children to experience it. The "Yao Yao" rabbit storage box is very cute, and the assembly is not difficult. Also, every staff member in Rollwood is very friendly and considerate. The environment is also great. It's a good place to go even when it rains. The Taiwan Tourist Shuttle also arrives here, which is really convenient.

Because I love mushrooms, I searched online and found this farm with good reviews, so I decided to go. There were quite a few visitors on Saturday. Growing mushrooms was fun, but I wouldn't recommend the experience if you're not going home the same day, as you have to carry them around, which is a bit inconvenient. You can ask customer service any questions you have about growing mushrooms. My mushrooms haven't grown yet, but I hope they succeed.

What to know before visiting Changhua

Top experiences to try in Changhua

Changhua’s biggest draws on Klook are its Parks & gardens and Theme parks, with Parks & gardens leading bookings and Theme parks close behind. Demand swings through the year, peaking in August and dipping around September, so expect the busiest activity bookings in August.

Best picks for families, couples and solo travellers

Families will find Theme parks and Zoos & aquariums especially appealing — Theme parks offer the widest range of options while zoos and aquaria make for easy kid-friendly outings. Couples often enjoy the calmer side of the city in Parks & gardens and Observation decks for relaxed, scenic experiences. Solo travellers and small groups can pick up affordable museum visits or Observation decks for compact, budget-friendly stops between larger activities.

What travellers from Australia should book ahead

Most activities in Changhua can be booked with flexibility — many travellers book close to their trip, though some still secure tickets around three days ahead, and that becomes more important in August when demand peaks. If you’re travelling in August, consider locking in popular parks and theme park options a few days earlier to avoid sold-out times.

How the main categories compare for cost and fit

Museums are the easiest and most budget-friendly way into Changhua’s attractions, offering the lowest typical price point. Theme parks sit at the higher end and show the widest price spread, so they can suit either mid-range or premium budgets depending on the option you choose. Parks & gardens offer steady, mid-range value and suit most travellers looking for leisurely outdoor time, while Observation decks and Zoos & aquariums fill in affordable, niche experiences that work well for short visits or family outings.
