Things to do in Xiamen

I had a wonderful experience with the assigned tour guide 小胡 during my trip to 土楼. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and very attentive to the group’s needs. I met like minded friends from HKG in my group. The itinerary was well-paced, and we never felt rushed. I really appreciate the insightful explanations about local culture and history, as well as the thoughtful recommendations for food and photo and massage spots. Thank you, Xiao Yan, for your service. Two days before our trip, you created a WeChat group and carefully informed us of important details and meeting points for our tour day. Although it was extremely hot on the day of the tour, you did your best to make us feel comfortable and flexibly adjusted the itinerary. It was excellent, and we will definitely choose Koolk again next time we visit Xiamen.

Was a great day trip to Yunshuiyao and Tulou. The travel agency will email requesting for WeChat ID and thereafter all communications were done via WeChat. The driver and Yunshuiyao guide is the same person and we were assigned to 洪师傅. He came to pick us from our hotel at Zhongshan Pedestrian Street at 7.30am and he was very punctual. Thereafter we went to pick another 2 more groups before heading to Tulou. Actual itinerary: 7.30am - Pick up from hotel 10am - Reached Tulou, a separate guide from the Tulou will meet the group there and explained the history of Tulou. Visited 3 Tulous and the whole walk was about 3km. 12pm - Lunch at a restaurant (meal not included) 1.30pm - Leave for Yunshuiyao 2pm to 4pm - Yunshuiyao tour 4pm - Sending the group back to their accoms 7pm - Reached Xiamen Zhongshan Pedestrain Street Total of 6 pax and a comfortable 9 seater bus was allocated. Pleasant experience and will definitely recommend.

We had an excellent day at Tianluokeng. Our driver Xiao Hu was on time and friendly. He shared a lot of information re the area and answered our many questions. The EV ride was smooth and comfortable.

I booked a day trip to Yunshuiyao for my mom and aunt, and luckily, we ended up with a private tour! 😄😄 A big thank you to Master Zhou for the thoughtful guidance today and for helping my family capture so many beautiful photos. Awesome! It met all my requests, and the itinerary was suitable for the elderly and children! Special praise goes to the driver, who took special care of my father, who has mobility issues. When I took my wife and children to ride the cable car, the driver supported my father the entire time as he walked in the botanical garden. I give it 100 points just for that - super attentive and thoughtful! Highly recommend!

The service is quite good, and the dancers perform diligently, making for an excellent show. It's very suitable for bringing older family members. If you're worried about feeling awkward, don't choose the most expensive seats. Instead, opt for the first row on either side, which is closest to the dancers and often includes interactive games.

An overall enjoyable tourist experience. Good valve for the price. Arrving at the seaport look for the ticket office. You will show your passport used to purchase the ticket. Then a short walk to the entrance that started cueing 30 minutes before launch. once onboard there are three decks. 2nd deck offers good views but can be slightly crowed. 3rd deck is open air with less sightseers. There are tables and chairs, light snacks & soft drinks at cost. River cruise provided good views along the 50 minute voyage. Nice way to start or cap your evening. The QR code couldn't be redeemed on-site, so we had to purchase another set of tickets there. The staff recommended buying an annual pass, which involved photo identification and real-name verification, making the process quite cumbersome. Fortunately, I had purchased an additional experience on the Klook platform that allowed for refunds if unused, and I'm currently awaiting the refund process. The visual effects of the performance were good, but the content leaned towards cross-strait relations and lacked a modern, innovative feel. It's an experience worth trying once.
