From homeschooling to not being able to see their friends, it hasn't been easy for them (or for you, parents for that matter) - honestly, awards all 'round! You’ve probably been looking for fun things to do in Perth with the kids to keep them engaged and entertained. It’s not easy.     Rottnest Island has everything from snorkeling to bike riding to keep the kids entertained. 
    Rottnest Island is not only one of the most stunning places to visit around Perth, but it is stacked full of fun adventures for the family. Grab some bikes and journey across the island taking in the incredible secluded beaches and coastline; the kids won’t be left disappointed with plenty of places to swim (we know winter won’t stop them) or play in the white sand. 
    If your kids love a little adventure, then we recommend taking on the snorkelling activity that is very popular on the island. Rottnest Island has the best underwater playgrounds with some of the more stunning marine wildlife waiting to be explored. Top places to visit include The Basin, Parakeet Bay, Parker Point and Little Salmon Bay. Each of these locations offer a stunning array or coral and colourful fish so the kids won’t be disappointed.  

    2. Whale Watching near Perth

    Whales Watching is one of the most underrated activities. I don’t think we quite understand how magnificent these creatures are. Take your kids on a two-hour excursion to experience the stunning wildlife along Fremantle and we guarantee you, they will leave wanting to know more about them (homeschool checklist, done!). On this excursion your kids will witness creatures such as humpback whales, dolphins, and if you’re lucky enough, southern right whales. This is all paired with an expert guide who will teach your kids everything they need to know about whales. And while that is happening, you can sit back and relax and watch the  breathtaking views of Rottnest Island and the Perth City skyline.

    3. Flying Trapeze School

Enter Flying Trapeze school. This thrilling experience will leave your kids feeling excited, challenged and hopefully exhausted by the end of the day, as they learn the art of trapeze in a safe and secure environment.

The courses are new and improved and if you’re looking for things to do in Perth with kids then look no further than Oasis Supa Golf.
    Supa Golf, in case you were wondering, is a modified form of golf where the golf clubs  have oversized heads and are made of plastic and the golf balls are also oversized, making it easier to play and honestly, a little more enjoyable. We don't need the negativity of a 'swing and a miss' in our lives, thank you! If you’re not wanting to go on the course yourself, there are plenty of places for parents to enjoy a coffee and chat with friends making this activity a great option for everyone.

    5. Aquarium of Western Australia

    When it comes to learning and homeschooling, sometimes experience trumps books. Pack up and take the kids on an interactive learning experience to the Aquarium of Western Australia.
    We all know that Australia has some of the most diverse wildlife in the world, and the best place to see it all is in this Aquarium. Take a walk under the sea with its 100m Underwater Tunnel and enjoy incredible marine life. You’ll get to see not only bright and beautiful coral, but you kids will also get to see sharks and sea turtles. There is so much to learn at the Aquarium and there are so many different exhibitions that are on so there will be something there for the whole family to enjoy (yes, including you Dad!).

    Perth Zoo’s vision is to not only preserve species and habitat diversity, but provide visitors with the opportunity to encounter the natural world, and they do just that. You and your family will be blown away but the incredible animals you get to see are from around the world including the African Painted Dog, the Sumatran Tiger and Orangutan and the Southern White Rhino (which spoiler alert, isn’t white!)
