    Aptly named, the Sunshine Coast has over 300 sunny days per year. Thanks to its trademark featuring clear, sunny weather, the Sunshine Coast is a perfect tropical destination all year round. In Summer, temperatures range from 20 – 30 degrees, whilst ‘winter’ temperatures range from 15 – 22 degrees.

    It’s easy to get to the Sunshine Coast!  For those flying in, there are direct services from Sydney, Melbourne, Cairns and Adelaide into the Sunshine Coast Airport in Marcoola. You can also choose to fly into Brisbane and hop in a hire car or book a shared Airport transfer. The Sunshine Coast is a 1 hour drive north from Brisbane. You can also choose to arrive via rail from Brisbane, with major stations at Beerwah, Landsborough, Nambour, Cooroy and Gympie. 
    If you’re self-driving, the Sunshine Coast is a 90-minute drive north of Brisbane. You can also arrive at Nambour by the rail operated by Queensland Rail.

    On the Sunshine Coast,  there are more things to do are more than just relaxing at the beach. In Noosa, you can find the bustling Hastings Street filled with excellent restaurants and coffee shops. For those seeking adventure, why not try a skydive or a thrill ride to view dolphins and whales (June to October). Make sure to not miss out on a visit to the Everglades, one of the world’s most pristine waterways, where you can spot 44% of Australia's bird species! This wetland in the Noosa River can be explored via an eco-safari cruise that includes a canoeing experience along the River of Mirrors.
    At the heart of the Sunshine Coast is Maroochydore, where you can partake in some retail therapy, dine in some of the Sunshine Coast’s best restaurants, or take a cruise along the Maroochydore River. Mooloolaba is home SEA LIFE Aquarium and Aquaduck Sunshine Coast, both located at the Mooloolaba Wharf, a dining and entertainment precinct.

    Head up to the Sunshine Coast Hinterland, with its natural attractions and charming little towns, Montville and Maleny, which you can retreat into. Beerwah is home to the iconic Australia Zoo and Glasshouse Mountains. If waterfalls and views are more your vibe, you can visit Gardners Fall and Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve in Maleny. For a bit of shopping, you can head to the Eumundi Markets every Wednesday and Saturday and to the exciting Ginger Factory for some tasty ginger treats!

    Novice and pro surfers can jump into the waves at Moffat Headland in Caloundra, known for its consistent swell. Noosa, Coolum or Mooloolaba beaches are ideal for those who are just learning to surf – you can even take a lesson with an experienced instructor on these beaches.

    Point Cartwright Reserve and Sunshine Beach are the ideal Sunshine Coast beaches for those coming with their four legged friends.
