Fantastic 5.0
It was a great experience. The service was excellent, and the care was impressive. I went on a cruise on a day when a T8/T3/T1 storm warning was issued. At first, I thought I wouldn't be able to go, but Klook confirmed it, so I decided to try the service. It turns out I made a very good decision, as it was a truly wonderful experience.

Fantastic 5.0
We recently joined the Tai O Fishing Village sightseeing trip. We a bus from Tung Chung Bus Terminal to Tai O, which took about 30–45 minutes. Upon arrival, it was easy to locate the boarding pier, just look out for the signboard displaying Klook sign. We simply scanned the QR code before boarding the boat. The boat ride lasted around 20 minutes and offered a good view of the traditional fishing houses built on stilts, which are one of Tai O’s most iconic sights. The boat then ventured further out into the waters in search of the famous pink dolphins, but unfortunately, we were not able to spot any. After the boat tour, we spent a little time exploring the small village on foot. The village has some small local shops. We stopped at a shop to try the absolutely delicious cream puff (donut) and topped them with ice cream. Check it out if you are there!

What to know before visiting Hong Kong

What to do in Hong Kong year-round

Hong Kong’s top experiences on Klook are led by theme parks, followed by events & shows, observation decks and museums, and lively playground-style attractions. Booking patterns show a strong winter peak in January and busier pockets in February, May, November and December, while late summer—especially August and September—sees much quieter demand according to Klook booking data. That seasonal rhythm makes choosing between festival-filled months and calmer periods the main decision travellers face: pick peak months for atmosphere or quieter months for lower crowds. All figures here reflect Klook booking data and typical-year trends.

When to visit Hong Kong

January is the busiest month on Klook, with demand well above a typical month, while August is the quietest, with demand far below usual. Prices across the year drift up and down: the dataset’s priciest month is March and the most affordable month is May, and prices and demand only sometimes move together — for example, January combines high demand with relatively high prices, while May offers lower typical prices even when demand is busier. For lower prices and smaller crowds, consider May or the late-summer quieter months; for peak-season atmosphere choose January or other busier months.

Month Demand Level Typical Price
January Peak demand AUD 48
February Busier than usual AUD 46
March About average AUD 51
April Busier than usual AUD 49
May Busier than usual AUD 40
June Quieter than usual AUD 46
July Quieter than usual AUD 48
August Very quiet AUD 43
September Very quiet AUD 45
October About average AUD 45
November Busier than usual AUD 48
December Busier than usual AUD 45

Demand is bookings in that month compared with a typical month, from historical Klook booking data, grouped into the demand levels above; typical price is the median paid on Klook in that month; prices are shown with their currency code. Based on Klook booking data, July 2025 – June 2026.

Where to stay in Hong Kong

Klook booking data shows a clear spread in typical nightly hotel rates across districts. The most affordable district is Central and Western District at typically around AUD 106 per night, while the priciest is Islands District at typically around AUD 347, a gap of roughly 69% between them. Cheaper districts tend to suit travellers prioritising budget and easy neighbourhood life, while pricier districts suit those after quieter, resort-style stays or more luxurious rooms. These typical nightly rates reflect past Klook bookings and help decide whether to favour savings or comfort.

Tips for travellers from Australia

Most travellers from Australia book experiences in Hong Kong with some flexibility: they typically book about 3 days ahead, while the earliest planners book around 18 days out, according to Klook booking data. That behaviour means you can often arrange things at short notice, but during January and other busier months it pays to secure popular activities earlier. Use Klook to compare typical prices and book with confidence—pick quieter months like May or August for lower typical prices, or lock in peak-month experiences ahead of time to avoid disappointment.
