Taitung: Shih-Yu-San Cautious Sofa - SUP Stand Up Paddle Board Experience

The coach was very thorough in guiding the four of us beginners. It was painful but enjoyable, and they were very patient waiting for us to jump into the water. Really great!

We participated in the sunrise tour, arriving at Xiaoxin Beach at 4:30 AM. We were driven to Shiyusan Port. It was just my boyfriend and I who signed up that day, so it felt like a private tour. The coach was excellent at teaching and taking silhouette photos, which turned out great! Highly recommended!

The coach explained everything in great detail and even shared the story of Shiyusan with us, diligently helping us capture memories. We quickly learned the basic SUP techniques! Looking forward to next time!

The coach was incredibly attentive and very professional! They taught me, a complete beginner, from knowing absolutely nothing to being able to stand and turn! It was amazing! The scenic tour itinerary was also very fulfilling!

I thought the big waves would be terrifying, but it was much steadier than I expected. Besides the basic instruction, the coach and assistant coach were constantly attentive and took photos. It was a great experience, and I'll bring friends next time if I get the chance!

I joined the sunrise tour individually and chose Shiyusan because its topography, a small bay surrounded by a cape, provides a natural barrier, making the waves calmer. The instructor and assistant instructor gave clear explanations and careful guidance, making it an easy water activity for beginners. On the day of the tour, there were big tides and waves, and falling into the water while practicing standing on the board was also fun! The instructor patiently helped with getting on the board and taught techniques, providing a great sense of security, and also recorded videos throughout. If you're feeling brave, you can even try cliff jumping! Breaking through the waves from the sea arch or leisurely paddling in the bay, enjoying the gradually brightening sky and the warm embrace of the ocean, it was a truly worthwhile experience!

The instructor was very patient and taught us well. When taking us to see the Stone Umbrella, they explained the local culture in detail and had great photography skills. I loved the photos I received!

On July 4th, under the scorching Taitung sun, I was the only brave soul who joined the morning tour. However, both coaches were incredibly patient, teaching me how to paddleboard, taking Instagram-worthy photos, and even letting me experience cliff jumping. This location (Umbrella Beach) is a small, sheltered cove, quite suitable for bringing children to try out. I'll probably bring my son back to experience it again next time.

Because of the typhoon, we happened to be the only ones at the selected time period. The coach taught carefully and took us out to sea to ride the wind and waves. It was a very fun experience!
