I’m from malaysia and choosing eSim is the best decision ever. Those whom mobile phone is compatible with eSim you guys can use this instead of using physical simcard. Worked really well. I added the esim which was received thru email and then activated it once I reached Taiwan. Please switch on data roaming for the net to start working. It didn’t before I did that. It will be present under cellular —> Taiwan E sim options
The eSIM is extremely easy to use. We activated the eSIMs a day before our trip (activation wasn’t successful, of course) but once we landed at the airport and turned on our phones, it connected automatically! 500MB/day was more than enough for me because I mainly used the data for WhatsApp and IG and Google Maps for walking around.
Easy to use! No hassle, has data limit for fast data (can watch videos and video calls); but once exceeds the cap; you can still use the data but at slower speed but good enough to use google maps (to get to your foodtrip destination) and messenger.
used it including for an island trip to Penghu. connection is very good throughout the trip! data is sufficient for google map and simple internet browsing. you may also check usage from a website of host, which i believe is HongKong telco.
Really convenient and reliable option especially for those with locked phones or those whose plane arrives at midnight when all the sim shops are closed. Very easy to use and takes less than 5 mins to set up.
Easy to use, no problem at all. The unlimited metro pass was worth it for multiple travels around Taipei city. The simcard is very useful for navigation and staying connected, not to mention for translating the language. Worth it!
Took a while for me to activate (first time using esim), but after that, it was smooth sailing! I like how I can check how many data is left each day. Speed is fast for my usage needs (map, email, internet) and I didn't experience any disconnection yet. So far so good and would definitely recommend! Price is also good for the product.
