The queue for ticket purchasing on-the-spot is not long, but the queue for taking the cable car is long, as there is limited number of cable cars serving the ropeway. We arrived there in the early afternoon on a weekday, and we waited for almost an hour to get on to the car. The queue for cable car going back down is equally long too. However, the view on the top definitely worths the wait !
Ropeway/cable car starts at 8.30 and it's worth getting there early to beat the long lines caused by tour groups who started arriving around 9.30am. Views as you move up the ropeway were breath taking. A beautiful clear day with spectacular views across the lake and surrounding areas. Once you are at the top there are multiple areas to view and photograph Mt Fuji (and you can never get enough photos of Fujisan can you?). There is also a shrine, tori gates, souvenir shop, toilets, postbox, snacks, ice cream etc. and giant swing= 500 Yen per person , not included in ticket price but great fun! Lots of photo ops and if you want a professional photographer (if you want and extra cost). Great value and i can only imagine what it would look like in spring (blossom time). The great thing about going on this in winter are the crystal clear skies and much greater chance of Fuji 'not being shy'. Recommend with an early start!
Amazing experience and well worth it. The Mt. Fuji Panoramic Ropeway offered stunning views of Lake Kawaguchi and Mt. Fuji on a clear day. The ride was smooth, staff were organized, and the round-trip ticket made the experience convenient and easy. A must-do attraction when visiting the Fuji area.
the experience was awesome! we didnt have to line up to buy tickets thanks to klook. arrived there around 3pm and we only waited about 20 mins to ride the cable car. waiting longer would still be worth it because the view above was spectacular. but the swing was closed around that time so maybe come earlier. regardless we still enjoyed our time. take note that you still need to line up again when going down the ropeway as there are a lot of people unless you prefer hiking down.
It’s a nice rope trip. Just a pity the day we went up, Mount Fuji was shy and couldn’t be seen. Still, it was an interesting ride and it pays to buy from Klook cos we could skip the queue to collect the tickets. Queue to go up nonetheless was long but did not take too long to clear.
The view from the top was nice since Mt. Fuji was visible. Would recommend going early before or once the ropeway is open since there were only a few people. When we got down by around 10:30am there was already a long queue for the ropeway.
From the very beginning, the whole process was smooth, straightforward, and stress-free. Everything was clearly explained, and I felt well-guided throughout—from choosing the right package to finalizing the details. What really stood out to me was how easy it was to get everything done, even with the usual stress that comes with planning a trip. Communication was quick and efficient, and any questions I had were answered right away. I also appreciated how organized everything was—no confusion, no hassle, just a seamless experience that made me feel confident and excited about my trip. Overall, it was a fantastic booking experience. I’ll definitely be recommendingto friends and family, and I’ll be booking with them again for my future travels!
There was a long line when I arrived and there wasn’t clear signage that the line was actually for getting onto the ropeway. I had to join another line to redeem my ticket. View at the top was well worth the ticket.
