We had the most amazing time with our English-speaking tour guide Judy Huang. She comes from Kinmen so had deep knowledge of the local culture and history, and was happy to answer all our questions about everything from local architecture to food to society. We had some places we wanted to see (like all the 2024 Kinmen International Ocean Festival artworks and the Kinmen Cermics Factory/Official Kiln) and she also suggested we include a few spots that weren’t on the itinerary, like the AMAZING and fun Kaoliang Brewery tour in an old military tunnel. None of our tour group are super into military history, but she even made that interesting with her informative stories about the places we visited, like the Jiangongyu Islet and the Zhaishan Tunnel. Our driver was also really funny and nice! We got picked up and dropped off at our accommodation, which made things super easy. Highly recommended if you want an insiders view into Kinmen.

This 3-day chartered tour of Kinmen is really impressive. Under the arrangement and wonderful guided tour by the well-connected and enthusiastic director He Yongqin, he experienced Fujian-style architecture, western-style buildings, battlefield customs, and sorghum pastoral scenery, which deeply made us feel the beauty and goodness of Kinmen. The caring guide, Brother He, will properly arrange the smoothness between each scenic spot and the scenic spot, and cleverly avoid group guests, which greatly adds to the whole journey, not only can comfortably experience the architecture, beauty and culture, but also Can take beautiful and not overcrowded photos. During these three-day Kinmen chartered car trips, every meal and snacks recommended by the director, Mr. He, were very satisfying. During the meal, Mr. He, the director, was also a nanny from time to time to help us take care of one year old Many small children are really grateful. The only regret for the whole journey should be that the three-day tour of Kinmen is really unsatisfactory, not enjoyable, and it is worth coming again.
