What a cute little undiscovered gem! Would highly recommend checking this place out because we felt like we were transported to another world with the smells of Jasmine and Lavender greeting you as you enter the vineyard, and views of a lake too. We also spotted a wombat from afar!
Wombat Crossing was our first stop and I know after you go through a couple of them they all start to blur together, but this one still stands out so much because I feel like it's seriously one of the prettiest wineries in the Hunter Valley! Everything was either super aesthetic or super cute, from the wombat signage (sadly we didn't get to spot any real ones), to the great water views, sculptures, and all the non-grape related fruits and foliage! There were jasmine blossoms galore, quite a few lemon and apple trees too, so the entire courtyard smelled amazing, it was like walking into a fragrance shop - such a breath of fresh air especially since we'd been driving for more than two hours. The owners were super friendly and took time out of their day to chat with us after we did our wine tasting (told us a chill story about how they also brew cider and limoncello in their spare time). Would totally revisit again <3
