Dolphin Watching and Kayaking Experience from Byron Bay

It’s been an awesome experience, kayaking in groups was fun. The guides are friendly, have great sense of humor and very knowledgable about the open sea. We feel safe with the guides as they are always near to us.

Had a wonderful time kayaking and saw glimpses of sting ray, turtles & dolphins. The scenery was just beautiful and a joy to look at from the kayak. The team was professional and had safety briefings on how to kayak. We were provided helmets & life vests.

Lovely experience w lovely guides, weather was a little gloomy but that didn't stop us from having a fun time out in the sea :) managed to see a turtle, dolphins and some birds! Some of us caught a glimpse of a whale at a distance too. Wetsuits were provided so we were kept warm during the winter. Just note that there is another kayak company just a walk away; don't be like me and end up waiting at the wrong one!

Was given a brief beginners class to kayaking before venturing into the sea, instructors were really helpful and helped us take lots of pics. Did see lots of dolphins up close (cloudy day in September) definitely worth every penny!

it was a relatively cold day with wet strong currents that day. Definitely an exciting yet can be scary experience to kayak far out to the open sea. The instructor deemed it as a non sighting day as we only saw the backview of a few dolphins. Appreciate the sincere gesture of the instructor who apologised for the exceptionally tough sea conditions that day and was helpful and professional to ensure all participants were not left too far behind. the instructors were also very fun and friendly.

It was fun, the coach was very funny, although I didn’t see any turtles, I was able to see a whole family of dolphins, and it was also fun when we finally returned to shore.

Great fun, we didn’t see many dolphins but did also see turtles and a leopard shark. Guides were funny, and helpful for beginners unused to kayaking at sea

The instructors were excellent, they seemed really passionate and knowledgeable. I found the main instructor quite funny. There are a lot of dolphins in the bay and they’re quite inquisitive, so they came up close to our kayaks a couple of times. Most of the trip is spent trying to anticipate the dolphins next move and positioning yourself so they will travel nearby. It’s a fair bit of paddling if, like me, you’re not used to it and you’re not very fit, but me and my partner both got through it ok. Overall I highly recommend it. The dolphins are so majestic and you feel much closer to them sitting in the kayak in their habitat. I’ve been dolphin watching from a boat before and I’d say the kayak is better.

We got lucky with the weather and condition on the sea but most of all we had an amazing experience with the dolphins, got to see so many! Also the guides were fantastic, fun, friendly and professional! Can't wait to go next time to see the whales!

A totally fun experience of going to the calm sea of Byron and although we didn't get to see a turtle properly we did get to see plenty of Dolphins, up to several groups of them. A few came quite close to less than 10 metres away. Dougie aka Doug the Dolphin was our guide was super friendly, fun, overall top bloke. He looked after my partner who was experiencing sea sickness and also helped by towing our kayak when we lagged behind.
