It is the cheapest way for tourists to travel between northern and southern Bali. I have used it many times, but I have never had any trouble.

Buses were alright in good working order but the drivers kept on turning off the aircon and had to be constantly reminded to turn the aircon on again which was really bad esp when Bali is sooo hot!! There were also more stops then expected so tbh taking your own car if you have limited time is better much better...
