Guide

The Tokyo Metropolitan Teien Art Museum is a one-of-a-kind art museum set within the former residence of Prince Asaka in Shirokanedai, Minato, Tokyo. The Art Deco main building (1933) and its ornate rooms now house rotating exhibitions, while the surrounding Japanese garden provides a tranquil escape. The museum was designated an Important Cultural Property in 2015. A modern Annex opened in 2014 adds white-cube gallery spaces. Both an exhibition ticket and a garden-only ticket are available, making it suitable for art lovers and casual strollers alike.
