Tokyo Toyosu Market & Tsukiji Market: Tuna Auction & Seafood Breakfast Experience

our tour guide Nick was THE BEST!! what a fantastic experience, one we will never forget!!!

Tim is a professional and knowledgeable. His explanation was clear throughout the whole Tuna Auction process. Prior to the trip, he reminded us to dress warmly and this was a good personal touch to the guests. He was also very kind enough to answer our questions related to the fish market even after the tour ended. The transportation provided was excellent.

We had the absolute pleasure of experiencing the Tokyo Toyosu Market & Tsukiji Market with Tim as our guide. Tim's passion, deep knowledge, and energy were infectious. He navigated us through the early morning excitement of Toyosu Market, giving us front-row insight into the incredible tuna auction — something we never would’ve fully appreciated without his expert commentary and behind-the-scenes knowledge. After the auction, we headed to Tsukiji Outer Market. He introduced us to vendors, explained the history and culture of the market. Tim was friendly, organized, and engaging throughout the entire tour. He answered every question with genuine enthusiasm and made sure everyone in the group felt included. Whether you’re a foodie, a cultural explorer, or just curious, this experience is an absolute must — and Tim is the perfect guide to lead it.

Tim was amazing. Wow! This experience is a must. I am a chef and this has been on my list for a long time. I would highly recommend Tim. he was knowledgeable and attentive. our group size was small, about 10 people. We were given ear buds so we had no problem hearing. it felt like Tim was able to get us the best viewing spots and in front of the lines. if this is something you want to experience then Tim is your guide.

Had an amazing tour of the markets with Tim! He was very knowledgeable about the markets and history. And he also showed us some great places a little off the beaten path and making suggestions of where to get the best food for the best price! He kept us on time and the transport between markets was super smooth. Will definitely be recommending to anyone looking for a tour of the fish markets and Tsukiji market

Very insightful experience learning much about the processes of tuna auction. tour guide Nick is very knowledgeable and friendly. he bought us fruits and souvenirs. he also guided us to interesting spots at both Toyosu and Tsukiji Markets. highly recommended if you want to know more about the long-established tuna auctioning! be prepared to wake up early though! also book early to better secure the lottery tickets which gain access to the lower floor for closer viewing.

Our Guide, Nick made this THE BEST tour/experience we had in Tokyo HANDS DOWN!!! His communication was top notch, even reaching out to us 24 hours prior to check-in, tell us exactly where to meet him & what to expect. He was knowledgeable, friendly, approachable & oh so patient- even with other guests who were not listening so he had to repeat several times. Not once did he appear the slightest bit irritable. He checked in often to make sure we were getting what we wanted/expected from the experience & went beyond our expectations with great recommendations for everything we asked him about. He’s a true professional & rare find! You would be quite lucky to have him as your guide! ❤️

Had an amazing time with Tim at the Toyosu Fish Market tour! Super interesting, fun, and very personal experience. Tim’s food recommendations were AMAZING and the whole atmosphere and timing of the tour felt perfectly planned and easygoing. Honestly one of the most enjoyable mornings I’ve had in Japan so far. We had a great time and experience walking the market and learning about the history of the market through Tim, who had a great energy and made himself exceedingly approachable throughout the morning.
