SHAPE is the form, the most basic outline that constitutes the world; RESHAPE is continuous change, reorganization, and redefinition. We believe that the body is the most direct force for changing space.

The "On_Body Arts Festival" does not focus on "watching performances," but rather invites every participant to become a creator of changing spaces through movement, dance, circus, singing, installations, and public actions. Hualien Cultural and Creative Industries Park will be reshaped into a living body community where people can wander, stay, participate, and consume.

[Program Introduction] Why is the forest asleep? Who has shrouded the lush greenery in darkness? Come with us, follow the light, and awaken this magical forest!

Two explorers arrive at a vibrant forest. Here, flowers dance, vines sway, and the creatures of the forest perform daily. The entire forest is like an unending celebration. One of the explorers discovers that the forest’s vitality comes from a mysterious energy. And he decides to steal this light energy… At the moment the energy is taken – the light extinguishes, plants wither, creatures fall one by one, and the entire forest falls into a deep sleep. The other explorer decides to stay, using courage and wisdom to awaken the sleeping creatures, and gradually restore the forest’s lost vitality. And the explorer who stole the energy will reappear… This time, can the forest reawaken?

[About the Performance Team] FOCASA Circus Taiwan’s first professional contemporary circus troupe, established in 2011, dedicated to promoting the development of contemporary circus arts. Since 2011, the troupe has presented twenty works, ranging from theatrical performances to outdoor events, from family-friendly shows to cross-disciplinary experimental contemporary works, continuously expanding the possible meanings and scope of contemporary circus in Taiwan, while also creating diverse artistic experiences. For sixteen years, the troupe has continuously pioneered and cultivated the land of Taiwan, making Taiwan a fertile ground for contemporary circus development. The troupe performs an average of over a hundred shows annually, conquering important stages both domestically and internationally, with footprints across 25 countries and 101 cities, including the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in the UK and the Festival d’Avignon Off in France, among other important international art platforms. Their performances are highly acclaimed and loved by both general audiences and professionals. FOCASA Circus positions itself as a happy and dreamy circus home, conveying the positive values of courage, sharing, and hope in circus, while integrating circus creation, curation, and cultivation to build a healthy and sustainable circus ecosystem in Taiwan.

[Program Introduction] Can love truly lead people to the utopia they yearn for?

"Operation: Love to Make a Fool of Oneself" revolves around a typical yet absurd story: a wild and unrestrained clown plays around, meets the one-in-a-million heroine, and risks everything to win her affection. Mimofatguy, with the image of a lecherous, willful, vulgar, and rogue clown, uses an old-fashioned date as a prelude to lead the audience through a romantic rhapsody interwoven with old songs, old-fashioned clothing, and old-school romance.

[About the Performance Team] For over a decade, starting from magic, in the unpredictable environment of street art, Mimofatguy has developed a unique and profound style, breaking away from the traditional clown image, creating an improvisational yet hilariously heartfelt individual clown.
