What to expect
See adorable giant pandas up close and experience life as a local in Chengdu on this tour! You'll explore the Chengdu Panda Base, a non-profit research and breeding facility founded in 1987. It boasts the world's largest captive panda population and is one of the most popular tourist attractions in China. Walk along its beautiful and expansive bamboo garden to see about 80-100 pandas scattered around in different sections. Witness the iconic giants eating and playing in a habitat that closely resembles nature, and feel the respect the centre has for these protected animals. Later in the day, immerse with the local Chengdu life with a visit to People's Park, the park with the longest history and perhaps the most people in the city. Then indulge in a delicious lunch at Xianqiao Antique Market. Create a piece of Chinese art, taste a heartwarming cup of tea, try playing Mahjong, or experience the bizarre but popular ear picking practice in Chengdu on this tour, too!
See lovely giant pandas, sit with a baby panda, and take photos with the animals
Small and bushy tailed, you'll also see fluffy red pandas playing or enjoying their meals
Try writing your name or your favorite saying in Chinese calligraphy
Experience the culture of Chengdu and perhaps try playing Mahjong

Insider Tips:
- Please wear lightweight and comfortable shoes
- Please dress properly according to the outdoor climate conditions
- You can bring your own photography and videography devices to record your wonderful trip
- Do not throw anything into the dens to help the center maintain the giant panda’s eating habits and avoid any risk of disease that could spread to other pandas. Anything thrown into the dens and eaten by the animals is likely to cause severe consequences
- Don’t scribble on anything, including rocks, trees, and buildings, in the panda base. Please walk on the path to step aside from vegetation
- The panda base is a non-smoking area. Smoking, shooting, and use of fireworks are prohibited in the panda base as they are fire hazards
- Do not drop litter, including cigarette butts, sweet(s) wrappers, and food crumbs. Please drop trash at the properly designated site for garbage or recycling, or take it away with you. Severe consequences may arise when litter is eaten by the non-captive wild animals
- Pets are not allowed to enter the panda base
