Reviews
the experercise was both entertaining and informative and the presenter and sumo's were fun and interesting
Hilarious and informative. The English speaking guide, Charlie, (all in one) master of ceremonies, and referee was excellent. The voucher purchase and confirmation emails plus directions were easy to follow and the Koto City neighborhood turned out to be delightful. You will not regret this experience, especially if you choose to be a volunteer, get geared up like a sumo wrestler and perform the practice warm ups, as well as test your strength in one-on-one real match, with a real sumo wrestler! The lunch was excellent and you could have second servings if you wished. The setting is an actual sumo wrestling stable of a real famous accomplished wrestler who has since retired. The explanation of the daily warmup exercises that a wrestler must perform was the best part. You will learn a lot and want to come back for more! Souvenir towels and tee shirt selection was also high quality.
A very real, lived experience with my 13-year-old daughter. We had a blast. Very informative, in good spirits. And you absolutely have to participate in the final fight against real sumo wrestlers to understand their strength and power. I was pushing with all my might without making him budge an inch! I still won in the end because I always win in the end, but it was close... Thank you. A must-do!
I went with my 60 year old sporty mom and we both got the chance to fight the sumos. It was a a really fun and amazing experience that we will remember forever. The food was delicious, the sumos were super friendly and impressive and the entertainer explained everything really well.
The host introduced various aspects of sumo wrestling in a very humorous way, and those who wanted to try it out could even practice with retired wrestlers. Lunch was an all-you-can-eat chicken hot pot. Overall, it was a wonderful experience.
Was the highlight of our trip to Japan. host was engaging, staff were helpful, the sumo’s were approachable and absolute showmen. even the meal was tasty. 10/10
