What to expect
- The first stop is Humble Administrator’s Garden, which is located in Gusu District, Suzhou City. It is one of the four famous gardens in China and is known as the treasure of Jiangnan classical gardens. The garden is surrounded by mountains and waters, and is lush with flowers and trees. It has a strong Jiangnan water town feature and is an excellent place for photography and scenery viewing. Then go to Lingering Garden, which was built in the Ming Dynasty and is as famous as Humble Administrator’s Garden. Lingering Garden is famous for its exquisite landscape layout and elegant architecture. Visitors can enjoy four different landscapes here: mountains and waters, countryside, mountains and forests, and gardens. The garden is full of greenery with strange stones and curved corridors. It is another place to experience Suzhou garden art. In the afternoon, stroll along Pingjiang Road, which is a historic street full of the charm of Jiangnan water towns. The ancient buildings on both sides of the street are scattered and you can feel the exquisiteness of Suzhou gardens and the tranquility of Jiangnan water towns. The last stop is Tongli Ancient Town, which is one of the six ancient towns in Jiangnan, with water towns and garden scenery as its main features. The small bridges and flowing water, stone streets and alleys, and ancient houses from the Ming and Qing dynasties in the ancient town form a moving picture of the south of the Yangtze River. After a wonderful day’s journey, the special car will take you back to Suzhou city.
